A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM CORRECTING OR RELOCATING
A CERTAIN BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND THE CITY OF ORANGE AND
DESCRIBING THE CORRECTED OR RELOCATED
BOUNDARY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
did on July 23, 1968 pass Resolution No. 68R -449 and did
thereafter amend such Resolution on August 27, 1968 by
Resolution No. 68R -537, which resolutions petitioned the
City of Orange for its consent to the correction or reloca-
tion of a certain boundary line between the two cities; and
WHEREAS, said resolution was filed with the local
Agency Formation Commission of Orange County before being for-
warded to the City of Orange and the Local Agency Formation
Commission did find, on September 11, 1968; that the boundaries
of the proposed change as shown in the amended resolution of the
City of Anaheim were reasonably definite and certain; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange did on September 4,
1968 pass Resolution No. 2990 consenting to and approving
the correction and relocation of said boundary line between
the two cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the boundary line between the
City of Anaheim and the City of Orange be, and the same is
hereby corrected and relocated so that the new location of
said boundary line is described as follows:
Description of proposed location of new boundary line:
That parcel of land, being a portion of the Southeast
quarter of Section 26, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. M., being a portion of the Rancho San Juan
Cajon de Santa Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in Book
51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing City Limit line
of the City of Anaheim, as established by the Katella
Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance
1119, January 30, 1957, filed with the Secretary of
State March 4, 1957, said point being distant from
the Southwest corner of the Southeast quarter of said
Section 26, the following courses and distances: North
1 19'07" West 455.43 feet, North 71 10' 50" East
42.04 feet, said last mentioned Southwest corner also
being, for the purpose of this description, the center-
line intersection of Lewis Street and Chapman Avenue,
as said intersection is shown on a Map of Tract No. 2413,
recorded in Book 73, pages 21 through 23 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South
1° 19' 07" East 30.15 feet, along the Westerly line of
Lot B of said Tract No. 2413 to the Southwesterly corner
of said Lot B, said Southwesterly corner being a point
in a curve concave Northwesterly and having a radius of
1,925 feet in the Southerly line of said Lot B, as shown
on the Map of said Tract No. 2413; thence following along
the Southerly line of said Lot B and the Southerly line
of Lot C of said Tract No. 2413, the following
courses and distances: Northeasterly along said curve
through a central angle of 3 31' 58" an arc distance of
121.78 feet; thence North 71 :10' 50" East 616.41 feet;
thence North 71° 39' 05" East 562.23 feet to the South-
easterly corner of Lot C of said Tract No. 2413, said
Southeast corner of Lot C also being a point in the West
line of that certain parcel indicated as a part of
Tract No. 2413, as shown on the Map of said Tract
No. 2413, said point being distant North 0 12' 14" West
1.31 feet, from the Southwesterly corner of that certain
parcel of land indicated as not a part of said Tract
No. 2413, thence following along a portion of the Westerly
line, the Southerly line and,the Easterly line of the
land indicated as riot a part of said Tract 2413, the
following courses and distances: South 0° 12' 14" East
1.31 feet, North 89° 49' 31" East 41.00 feet, North
0° 12' 14" West 41.08 feet, to the Northeast corner of
that certain parcel of land indicated as not a part of
said Tract No. 2413, said Northeast corner being the
point of terminus of the herein described line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk transmit
a certified copy of this resolution to the Secretary of State,
to the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, and to the City
Council of the City of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 19th day of November 1968.
