A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT OF EASEMENT AND
RIGHT OF WAY AS TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT RELATING THERETO.
WHEREAS, negotiations have been conducted in connec-
tion with the acquisition by the City of Anaheim of a certain
grant of an easement and right of way from the. Orange County
Water District; and
WHEREAS, as a result of said negotiations an agree-
ment has been reached between the City of Anaheim and the Orange
County Water District for an easement for the installation and
maintenance of a storm drain over, under and across the fol-
lowing described real property in the County of Orange, State
of California, being a portion of the Rancho Santiago de Santa
Ana, to wit:
A strip of land 30.00 feet in width, into the Santa
Ana River, lying within a portion of the. Leandro
Serrano Allotment of the Rancho Santiago de Santa
Ana, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 5, page 16
of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California, being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the. North line of Tract 5593,
as shown on a Map recorded in Book 243, page 15 through
18, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said
Orange County, said point being the Northwest corner
of Lot 64 of said Tract 5593; thence South 66 -34 -10
West 25.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence
North 24 -14 -50 West 119.71 feet; thence North 65 -45 -10
East 30.00 feet; thence South 24 -14 -50 East 120.14 feet;
thence South .66 -34 -10 West 30.00 feet to the True Point
of Beginning;
AND, WHEREAS, the Office of the City Attorney of
the City of Anaheim has approved such agreement and the City
Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of
Anaheim to execute an acceptance thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it accept and it does hereby accept,
the grant of easement and right of way from the Orange County
Water District and that the. Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute an acceptance
thereof on said grant of easement and right of way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a fully executed
copy of said grant of easement and right of way to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
12th day of November 1968.
