RESOLUTION NO. 5641
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH HORN, INC. FOR
THE LEASING OF A 500 GALLON PROPANE STORAGE
TANK FOR USE AT THE CITY WATER PLANT ON LA
PALMA AVENUE. ($2.00 per month)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim owns and operates a water
plant on La Palma Avenue, at which are installed two Waukesha
gas motors for emergency operation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that public oonvenience
and necessity require the installation of a storage tank at said
location for the storage of fuel for use in the operation of said
motors; and
WHEREAS, Horn, Inc. has offered to deliver and install
a 500 gallon propane storage tank at said location and has this
day submitted to the City Council an agreement to be made and
entered into by and between the City and Horn, Inc. for the
leasing to the City of said storage tank at a rental of $2.00
per month, upon the terms and conditions set forth in said agree-
ment, a copy of which is attached hereto, together with a copy of
the letter referred to in said agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the best interest of the City to accept said offer and enter into
an agreement with Horn, Inc. for the leasing of said storage tank;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted to the
City Council by Horn, Inc. for the leasing to the City of one
500 gallon propane storage tank for the storage of fuel for use
in the operation of the motors at the City Water Plant on La
Palma Avenue, at a rental of $,.00 per month, subject to the terms
and conditions set forth in said agreement, a copy of which agree-
ment and a copy of letter referred to therein are attached hereto
and made a part hereOf, be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agree-
ment for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor b~and
he is hereby, directed to pay to Horn, Inc. the sum of $2.00 per
month rental for said storage tank as provided in said agreement.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUfION is approved and signed by me
this 17th day of November, 1959.

under full load each motor could conSUMa 18 gallone of propane par hour. Tha
coat to the City of Anahai. would b. a. follow8:
(1) Piping - from a location adjoining the east storage tank to
the angine8 the.eelves, using half-inch heavy duty pipe, .eldad
joints up to within 18 to 24 inchea of the engines, at that point
using coppar tubing to make a: flexible connection to the motors;
along with the valves and fitting. nacesaary for an installation
which would be in accordance with the rulea and regulation. a.

tank for e rental fee of 12.00 a month, for that .e furnish tha
tank as w81l a. the inaura~ce, take care of the upkeep of the
tank, valve. and rittings. I Should you require additional etorage
tnere, enother tenk would~e installed at no charge for our con-
venience. Thia entire plan is set up with tha thought in mind
of operating the pumps a mini.urn of tw.lve (12) hours full load.
(3) Service - Wa have, at all ti~e8. a mechanic very .ell
acquainted with the carburetion and ~echsnic. of your engines,
end .e would be very glad to furnish him to work with your
..cnenic., or on hi, own. The charge for his service. would be
15.50 rer hour. ~e heve en inventory of parts for your type of
carburetion, and we have access to the factory for eervice
through the [n.ign people.
