RESOLUTION NO. 66R-165
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT TO BE MADE
- AND ENTERED INTO BETWEEN L. E. TRAVER,
DOING BUSINESS AS ANAHEIM SECURITY PATROL
AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM RELATING TO THE
DEPUTIZING OF GUARDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DIRECTING TRAFFIC ENTERING, LEA!!!f!!. AND
TRAVERSING THAT PORTION OF BROOlQlulUiT
STREET WHICR BORDERS THE CIRCLE SEAL CENTER
PROPERTY .
WHEREAS, m&l!yemployees and visitors of tbe Circle
Seal Center enter and leave tbe Circle Seal Center property in
tbe City of"Anabeim by way of Brookhurst Street; and

WHEREAS, it is desirable to use ~im. Security
,atrol guards to direct traffic entering, leaving and traversing
that portion of Brookburst Street wbicb borders said Circle Seal
Center property, and to bave sucb guards deputized by tbe City
of Anabeim as officers of tbe Anabeim Police Department for the
purpose of investing them witb adequate and legal authority to
direct traffic at said location; and
WHEREAS, a form of agreement dated March 1 , 1966
bas this day been submitted to tbe City COUDcil to oe-m&de and
entered into between L. E. Traver, doing business as __heim
Security Patrol and the City of Anaheim providing for tbe
deputizing of sucb guards aDd providing for adequate insurance
coverage to protect the City against all claims for damage or
injury arising by reason of any act, omission or neglect on
the part of said Anaheim Security Patrol guards; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said agree-
ment would be for the benefit and best interest of the City and
should be approved. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by tbe City COl;lDCil of
tbe City of Anaheim that the agreement this daI subDdtted to the
City COUDcil, dated Marcb 1, 1966, to be meae and entered
into between tbe City and L. E. Traver, doing business as Anaheim
Security Patrol,providing for the deputizing of guards to direct
traffic entering, leaving and traversing that portion of Brook-
burst Street whicb borders tbe Circle Seal Center property at
Brookburst Street and La Palma Avenue, in tbe City of Anabeim,
upon tbe terms and conditions tberein set forth, be and tbe same
is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tbat the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are bereby autborized to execute said agreement for
and on behalf of the City of Anabeim.
