ORDINANCE NO. 3962
AN ORDINANCE OF 'THE CITY. OF ANAHEIM REPEAL-
ING SECTION 7.16_.050.OF CHAPTER 7.16, TITLE
LAND AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER 7.16-, BY
ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 7.16.050 TO THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING. TO ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That Section 7.16.05.0 of Chapter 7.16, Title 7, .of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be,'.and the same is hereby, repealed.
SECTION 2..
That Title' % Chapter 7.16, of. the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby., :amended by. adding thereto, new
Section 7.16.050.to.read as follows:
"SECTION.7.16.050 CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES - PLACES RESTRICTED -
'ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE' DEFINED.
It shall be. 'unlawful for any
person or persons -to-consume any alcoholic beverage
while upon any public street, sidewalk, alley or public
parking lot -or area within the City of Anaheim, .or upon
any public or private parking lot. or area within 200
feet of any dance hall,,, -.or to consume :any alcoholic bev-
erage while being in an automobile or any other motor -
driven vehicle upon any public street, alley, or park-
way or other public parking lot or area., or private
parking lot :or area open to, the public either with 'or
without compensation within the City of Anaheim, or
upon any public or private: parking lot :or area within
200 feet of any dance hall. -
'Alcoholic beverage' is defined
as any beverage defined as -an 'alcoholic beverage' by the'
Alcoholic Beverage Control Act .of the -State of California."
SECTION 3 .
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall -cause the same to be .printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the. Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation,.printed,.published.and circulated in said
City, -and thirty .(30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall- take effect .and be in full force.
