RESOLUTION NO. 86R-016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A LOAN
APPLICATION AND ANY RELATED DOCUMENTS NECES-
SARY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MOBILEHOME PARK
ASSISTANCE PROG~ AND SECURE A COMMITMENT OF
FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, a Charter City, organized
and operated under the Constitution and laws of the State of
California, is eligible to receive a commitment of funds and
participate in the Mobilehome Park Assistance Program (hereinafter
referred to as "MPAP"); and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Housing and
Community Development (hereinafter referred to as the
"Departmentll) is authorized to make loans for the purpose of
financing mobilehome park conversion costs and to reduce the
monthly housing costs for low-income residents to an affordable
level; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anahem wishes to obtain from the
Department a commitment of funds for the purpose of financing the
monthly housing costs for low-income residents to an affordable
level.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. Th~t the City of Anaheim shall act as a co-applicant with
Cherokee Mobile Homeowners Association, Inc. and shall submit to
the Department an application for participation in MPAP and to
request a commitment of funds for a mobilehome park conversion
project located at 235 South Beach Boulevard in the City of
Anaheim.
2. That if the application is approved, the City will enter
into a standard agreement with the Department for the purposes set
forth in the loan application and approved by the Department. It
also may enter into other instruments necessary or required by the
Department for participation in MPAP.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. That the City of Anaheim shall request amendments
including any and all documents required by the Department to
evidence and secure these amendments.
2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute in the name of the City of Anaheim the loan application
and other documents necessary or required by the Department for
the participation in MPAP, and any amendments thereto.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
ci ty Council of the Ci ty of Anaheim this 14th day of January, 1986.
