59R-5612 RESOLUTION NOo 5612 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF PRO~ CEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY .. ' ' .~. . _ ',* have filed with the City Council a written requestg requesting the consent ot' the City Council of the City of Anaheim to the commence= ment of proceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter described terrItory to the City of AnaheimD and stating that said territory is inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and 'NHEREASD the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim and to the quallf'1ed electors residing within said territory to permit the above named proponents to commence proceedings for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim. upon the conditions herein- after set forth, and WHEREASp said request has been referred to the City Plan- ning Commission and its report and recommendations received recom~ mending the granting of consent to commence proceedings for annexa~ tion of said territory to the City of Anaheim. NOW9 THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City Council beg and it is hereby given to said proponents to commence proceedings for the . a.nnexation of the hereinafter described territory to the City of AnaheJM upon the following conditions: First: That the proposal for annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported upon to the proponents by the Boundary Commission of the County of Orangeg with respect to the definiteness and certainty of proposed boundaries. Second: That no petition be circulated for the annexation of said territory until after notice of intention to circulate such petition has been published as required by lawg and a copy of such notice and an affidavit of publication has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10) days after the date of publ1.cat:1on of said not:ice9 and a resolution has been adopted by the Ci.ty Council of the City of Anaheim acknowledging receipt of said notice and approving the circulation of said petition. Third: That the circulation of any petition for the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not be commenced untiltwenty~one (21) days after the publication of said notice of intention to circulate the same. The boundaries of the territory for which proceedings are proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the City of Anaheim are descrlbed as follows: -1= SIRIUS AND TILLER AVENUE ANNEXATION ~- That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of the Southeast quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian. described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing City of Anaheim City limit line, said point being the Southeast corner of the Haster Street Annexation to the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 1138, May 1.1957. and filed with the Secretary of State, June 3, 1957, said point of beginning also being the point of intersection of the Southerly line of the Nt of the SE~ of said Section 27. with a line parallel with and 30.00 feet West of the East line of said Section 27; thence, 1. Westerly along the existing City of Anaheim City limit line being the Southerly line of the N~ of the SE~ of said Section 27 and its W~sterly prolongation to its intersection with the West line of Tract No. 2520 as shown on a map fi led in Book 88. Pages 11 through 15 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence. 2. Southerly along the West line of said Tract No. 2520 to the South- west corner of Lot 27 of said Tract No. 252u; thence, 3. Easterly along the South line of Lots 27 through 35 of Tract No. 2:;20 to the Sou thwes t corne r of Lot 11 of Tract No. 3178, as shown on a map fi led in Book 96, Pages 13 and 14 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, said point also being in the Southerly line of said Tract No. 3178; thence, 4. Easterly along the South line of Tract No. 3178 to the point of intersection with a line parallel with and 50.00 feet Westerly of the East line of Section 27; thence, 5. Nurtherly along the last n:entioned parallel line to the Northeast corner of Lot 61 of Tract No. 2520 as shown on a map fi led in Book 88, Pages ~ /A 11 through 15, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence, 6. Easterly along the Easterly prolongation of the North line of said Lot 61 to the point of intersection with a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Westerly of the East line of said Section 27; thence. -2- 7.
