RESOLUTION NO. 86R- 034
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 85R-269 WHICH
ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSES
DESIGNATED AS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff
report dated January 21, 1986 that bilingual pay be added to Resolution
No. 85R-269; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution
No. 85R-269 which established rates of compensation for classes designated as
Professional and Technical Management.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
That effective October 4, 1985, Section 8A is hereby added to
Resolution 85R-269 to read as follows:
"8A. Employees required to speak, read and/or write in Spanish or other
languages as well as English as part of the regular duties of their position
will be compensated at the rate of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per pay period
in addition to their regular pay. The appropriate department head shall
designate which positions shall be assigned bilingual duties and which
languages shall be eligible for bilingual pay."
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except to the extent amended,
Resolution No. 85R-269 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
this 28th day of January , 1986.
