A RESOLU'l'ION OF 'rhE CITY COU!~CIL OF THE C1TY OF
ANA HE llVj 1<'INDIhG AND DETERHININGI'HAT A CHANGE OF
ZONE IS i~ECESSARY T 1, CERTAI l~ AREAS OF THE CITY.
AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIM
!v:UkIClPAL CODE SHOULD BE AIv!ENDED TO ACCOMPLISH
SAID CHANGE OF ZONE"
WHEREAS, the 01 ty Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim
nas heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution declaring its inten~
tion to change the boundaries of the zone or z ones hereinafter men-
tioned and described and did fix a time and place for the holding of
a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed in Article
IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code. and did duly hold and
.onduct su,~h public hearing to consider said proposed change of zone
or zones, and did receive evidence and reports from persons interested
cheJ'ein, and
WHEREAS" within a period of forty (40) days following the
"'1n8.1 hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by
formal resohtion its findings of facts and declare its opinions and
rep-sons for recommending an amendment to said Article IX. Chapter 2
of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed changes in the
~rnlndaries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
trH' City Planning Commission, the 0ity Council did thereupon fix the
lJth day of October, 19 59 , as the time and the
'Council Chamber in the City Hall of the""CITy of Anaheim as the place
for a public hearing upon said proposed change of zone, and did give
nottce thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX.
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim ~~nicipal Code; and
WHEREAS. at tne time and place fixed for said public hear~
:ng;, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
beard and did receive evidence and reports. and did thereupon con-
sider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City C01.1DC i1 doe s find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it
28 now situated to a different zone, as hereinafter set forth, is
Fore suitable for the zone or zones to which it is proposed to
(hange said property and area and that the inclusion of said property
And area in such new zone or zones will increase the value of said
property and area and will not depreciate the values of property
In adjoining zones.
NOW, rHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council oE the
City of' Anaheim that all of t he property and area situated in the
City of Anaheim. County of Orange. State of California. described
as follows, to wit:

1. That the olNTler of subject property place of record

approved by the City Attorney, which restrictions

Temple and 3usiness and Professional Offices only.

with standard plans and specifications on file in

.5. That the owner of subject property deed to the City
of Anaheim a strip of land of sufficient width for
a full width street, from the easterly boundary of
Tract No. 3492 to the easterly boundary of Tract
No. 1886; and a strip of land of sufficient width
for a half widtr street, from the easterly boundary
of Tract No. 1626 to Palm Street, in conformity

{ That all engineering requirements of the City of
Anaheim, such as curbs and gutters, sidewalks,
street orading end paving, drainage facilities, or
other pertinent ',.,Jork be complied with as required
by the City Engineer, and in accordance with Plan
No. 10Ue on file in the office of the City Engineer,
2nd that said engineering requirements or improve-
ments shall be installed at the time the property
is developed.
,. That all of the above conditions, with the exception
of Conditions Nos. 2 and 6, shall be complied with
within a period of days from date hereof, or such
:C1Jrther time as the Ci ty Counc il may grant.
FE IT FUHTHEH RESOLVED that the Ci ty Attorney be, and
'1e is hereLv authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
UlE' Ci ty Coune i 1 an amendment to Art ic Ie IX, Chapter 2 of the
A.naheim [J]urcicipal Code to amend said Anaheim J\1unicipal Code to
accomplish the object herein found and determined to be necessary
an d proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of November, 1959.

sales and service on the property hereinabove described, for
a period of three (3) years from date hereof, subject to
review at the end of said three-year period in the event
permanent buildings have not been constructed and development
completed in accordance with the plans presented to the City
Council and on file with the City of' Anaheim, and subject also
to the followin~ conditions:
1. That the owner of the pr'operty deed to the
C:'.ty of Anaheim a strip of land 53 feet in
width, from the center line of the street,
along So. Los Angeles Street for street
widening pur'poses.
2. That the P-L, PARKI~G-LA~DSCAPING ZONE, along
Los Angeles Street be waived.
J. That sidewalks be installed as required by the
City Engineer and in accordance with plans and
specifications on file in the office of the
City Engineer; and that a bond in an amount
and form satisfactory to the City of Anaheim
be posted with the City to guarantee the
installation of said sidewalks.
LL. That the property be developed in accordance
with the plans this day submitted to the City
Council and on file with the City of Anaheim.
:;>. That the owner of the 2l"operty pay to the City
of Anaheim the sum of' ".:,2.00 per front foot for
street liV1ting purposes.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such variance permit for good cause or failure of said owner,
his heirs, Successors or assigns, to comply with the Anaheim
Eunicipal Code and y'egulations and the conditions herein. Said
variance is granted for a parioe of' three (3) years from date
hereof subject to review at the end of said three-year period
in the event permanent buildinGS have not been constructed and
development completed in accordance with the plans presented
to the City Council and on file with the City of Anaheim as
hereinabove mentioned.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 3rd day of November, 1959.
