AN ORDINANCE OF THE'CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 7, CHAPTER .7.28 OF THE
ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO
SECTIONS 7.28.030 AND 7.28.040 RELATING
TO HOTEL - LOITERING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
'SECTION 1.
That Title'7, Chapter 7.28 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto
Sections 7.28.030 and 7.28.040 to read as follows:'
"7.28.030 HOTEL - LOITERING
No person shall eriter upon the premises of
or remain in any public room of a hotel after
being notified by the owner, manager or other
person in charge thereof to leave or remove
himself therefrom.
7.28.040 EXCEPTIONS
The provisions -of Section 7.28.030 shall not
apply in the following instances: -
.010 Where its. application results in or is
coupled with'an act prohibited by the'
Unruh'Civil Rights Act or any other.
provision of law relating to prohibited
discrimination.against any person on
account -of color, race, religion, creed,
ancestry or national origin;
.020 Where 'its. application results in 'or is
coupled with an act prohibited by
Section. 365 of the California Penal Code
or any other provision of law relating
to duties of innkeepers and common
carriers; -
.030 Where'its'application would result in an
interference with or inhibition of any
other ekercise'of a constitutionally
protected right -of freedom,of speech such
as (but not limited to) peaceful expressions
of political or religious opinions,- not
involving offensive personal conduct."

SECTION 2..
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the'same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
-^ a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final pass-age'it shall take -effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by
the'City Council of the City of Anaheim this 31st day of
