66-253WHEREAS, on or about the 28th day of February, 1966,
the City of Anaheim purchased the following described property
by purchase agreement from Anaheim Boys' Center, Inc., and
from Anaheim Optimist Club, to wit:
The southerly 106.50 feet of the westerly
55.50 feet of the easterly 75.20 feet of
Lot 22 of the Original Town of Anaheim as per
map filed in Book 4, pages 629 and 630 of Deeds,
in the Office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California;
AND WHEREAS, by the terms of said agreement the
sellers are to deliver deeds to the City of Anaheim upon
final payment by the City; and
WHEREAS, the sellers have, prior to the date of this
resolution delivered such deeds to the City with the request
that the same be recorded forthwith so that the City may cancel
taxes on the property and thus not require sellers, who are
also tax exempt, from making application for cancellation of
taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
both convenient and proper to record such deeds and request
cancellation of taxes on said property for the accommodation
of sellers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that it accept, and it does hereby
accept, the deed of Anaheim Boys' Center, Inc. and the deed
of Anaheim Optimist Club.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and
she is hereby authorized and directed to record said deeds.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to take whatever
steps may be necessary to cancel taxes on the above described
property.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 5th day of April, 1966.
