86R-058 RESOLUTION NO. 86R-58 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CITY RECORDS MORE THAN TWO YEARS OLD. WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California authorizes the destruction of certain records of the City upon approval of the legislative body of the City, and with the written consent of the City Attorney, provided that said records do not fall within certain specified categories; and vlliEREAS, the following described documents in the possession of the Anaheim City Attorney are more than two years old and are documents which are authorized for destruction under the provisions of said Section 34090 of the Government Code without making a copy thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim has determined that said documents under his charge are no longer required; and WHEREAS, the City Council concurs in the determination of the City Attorney; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim does by the approval of this resolution hereby give his written consent for the destruction of the listed records. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City Council hereby approves the destruction of, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim is hereby authorized to destroy, the following described documents without making any copies thereof, to wit: I. Miscellaneous claims, condemnations and annexation files prior to 1983; 2. Copies of resolutions and miscellaneous correspondence relating to street lighting maintenance districts prior to 1983; 3. Miscellaneous correspondence, originals and copies prior to 1983; 4. Copies of documents relating to construction of Anaheim Convention Center prior to 1983; 5. Miscellaneous FPPC rulings and correspondence prior to 1983; 6. Miscellaneous inter-departmental correspondence and memoranda prior to 1983; 7. Copies of miscellaneous pleadings, correspondence and related information prior to 1983; 8. Miscellaneous correspondence relating to Anaheim Convention Center prior to 1983; 9. Public utility rate structure correspondence prior to 1983; 10. Copies of local agency formation commission reports, correspondence and pleadings prior to 1983; II. Miscellaneous committees, task forces and boards correspondence and memoranda prior to 1983; l2. Miscellaneous public utility commission application documents prior to 1983: 13. Miscellaneous code and zoning complaints, correspondence and hearing documents prior to 1983; 14. Collections files, completed and closed, prior to 1983; l5. Miscellaneous municipal law subjects, forms and correspondence prior to 1983: 16. Fiscal year 1981/82 and 1982/83 budget working documents: 17. Vacation requests, 1981, 1982, 1983: 18. Employee attendance statistics, 1982 and 1983i 19. Payroll register 1982 and 1983: 20. Time reports 1982 and 1983: 21. Payroll distribution and earning reports 1983: 22. Status of authorized positions 1983: 23. Sick leave usage 1983; 24. Telephone account-a-call reports 1983; 25. General Telephone Company service extension application (1965); 26. Chronological files 1983: and 27. Correspondence regarding business licenses prior to 1983. 28. Miscellaneous copies of various Environmental Protection Agency cases and pleadings. 29. City of Anaheim v. Local Agency Formation Commission, closed matter. 30. Huarte encroachment permit, closed matter. 31. McCandless grievance file, 1973 closed matter. 32. City of Anaheim v. Schlund et al closed file. 33. Correspondence and documents relating to 1954 sewer assessment district. 34. Knight v. Karcher, 1971 closed file. 35. City of Anaheim v. Vegas Fantastic Fair, Inc. et aI, 1966 closed file. 36. Breckenridge v. Dutton, 1972 closed file. 37. Copy of Memorandum Brief re Fellbaum grievance, 1970 closed file. 38. Documents regarding Dolan Corp. license to encroach, 1970 file. 39. Broadway-Brookhurst Concerned Homeowners Association v. City of Anaheim, 1969 closed file. 40. City of Anaheim v. Myers, 1969 closed file. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon destruction of the foregoing records, a certificate of destruction shall be executed and the original thereof filed in the Office of the City Clerk together with a copy of this resolution.
