A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHE 1M REQUEST ING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO INCLUDE
WITHIN THE ARTER IAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE
DEVELOPMENT OF ORANGEWOOD AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desir~~ to i~prove Oranqewood
Avenue from LOs Anqeles Street
to Placentia Avenue I and

WREREAS, ~qewood ,Avenue .. , is' -an impor tant
artery in t~e County-Of\:)ran@l!l. and:of general County interest, and
WHEREASs Article 2 and Article 3~ Chapter 9. Division 2 of
the Streets and Highways Code authorizes a County. if it so desires.
to expend funds apportioned to it out of the California Highway Users
Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvementj construction or repair
of a street within a City,'and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to. by appropriate
action, provide in the County budget of the Special Road Improvement
Fund for the Fisqll Year ItS9-60 a SUIIl of m()ney for the improve-
ment of street, within the ncorporatedc iUes of the County in ac-
cordance w'lth the Orange County ArterIal :tHghW~ Financing Program.
, NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim h&reby requests the Board of Super=
vi so rs of the County of Orange to all.bcah to said C!:t,y from County
Funds the amount of $6.000.00 , said' amount to be matched
by funds from said City. to be used to aid said City in the improvement
of Oranqewood Avenue from Ins AnQPlp.s Strp.pt
to Placentia Avenue , and for the acquisition of neces5ary
rights of way, said improvements and acquisition of rights of way to be
in accordance with the attached project statement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Sup~rvi~ors of the
County of Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisi=
tion of rights of way on Oranqewood Avenue >> in the manner
provided, is in the general County interesto
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolutions the City of
Anaheim agrees with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financ-
ing Program; and further agrees that its share of the cost of improve-
ments and rights of way will be available for the fiscal year 19S9-60 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk bes and she is
hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange Countys California, and
a certified copy to the County Surveyor and Road Commissioner. Court
House Annex, Santa Ana, California.
