4006ORDINANCE N0. 4006
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
TITLE 4, CHAPTER 4.72, SECTIONS 4.72.010 AND
4.72.020 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO TAXICABS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 4, Chapter 4.72, Paragraph 2 of Section
4.72.010 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is
hereby, amended to read as follows:
"4.72.010 DEFINITIONS.
'Taxicab' means and includes every motor
vehicle which is not limited to a fixed
or defined route and used to carry
passengers for hire to their desired
location."
SECTION 2.
That Title 4, Chapter 4.72, Section 4.72.020 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended to
read as follows:
"4.72.020 TAXICABS AND STANDS — PERMIT REQUIRED
It shall be unlawful and punishable as
a misdemeanor for any owner or driver
to operate, or cause to be operated,
any taxicab or to maintain any taxicab
stand, unless such owner has a permit
issued pursuant to Chapter 4.72."
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.

THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15 b day of May, 1979.

Ordinance No. 4006 on the 15th day of May, 1979.
