SECTIOv 1.
That Title 14, Chapter 14.'-D 2, of the Anahei-i
unicipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by
reLealinr Sections 14.32.400, 14.32.1110, and 11.�.32.1120.

'That Title 14, Chapter 14.32 of the Anaheim
-`unieipal Code be, and the same is hereby, amended by add-
ing Section 14.32.500 to read as follows:

Any other limitation on, or re-ulation
concerning, parking contained in this Title
to the contrary notwithstanding, it is unlawful
to park or leave parked any vehicle on any
street or ?portion thereof during the hours and
on the day or days of the month indicated on
signs containing the words "A Parking," which
signs have been placed in appropriate locations
designating said parkin; restrictions pursuant
to the Drovisions of this Section.
'he Public Works Executive Director is
hereby authorized to determine the locations of
and to place and maintain, or cause to be placed
and maintained, signs designating the hours
during which, and day or days of the month on
which, parking is prohibited in order to permit
City equipment to sweep.
All persons employed by the City of Anaheim
who are designated as Parking- Checkers I or II
are authorized to give citations to any and all
persons violatin[; any of the provisions of this
Section to appear in the north Orange County
Judicial District at a time filed in the citation,
not less than five days from the date of the
�iving of the citation unless a shorter period

of time is reauested by the persons to whom such
citation is riven, and such citation shall be
deemed to be a complaint charging violations of
this Section."
SECTION 3. SE A�R A B I L IT Y
The City Council of the City of Anaheim, hereby
declares that should any section., paragraph., sentence or word
of this chapter of the Code hereby adopted be declared for
any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that
it would have passed all other portions of this chapter
independent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as
may be declared invalid.
SECTION 4. SAVINGS CLAUSE
Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal
hereby of any other ordinance of this City shall in any manner
affect the prosecution for violations of ordinances, which
violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof,
nor be construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The
provisions of this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially
the same as ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City
relating *� -� to the same subject matter, shall be construed as
restatements and continuations, and not as new enactments.

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this

ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (155) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage,, it shall take effect and be in full force.

the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 22nd day of
May, 1979.
