A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUICIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETI~ION FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UIINHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY
AS THE SOUTHEAST ANNEXATION NO.2
; DESCRIBING
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND
PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY PERSON OWNIJiG REAL
PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE
ANIEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUICIL AND
SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE
ARJlEXED TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on

petition asking that certain new territory described in said petition
be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the proposal
for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City
of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County of
Orange, State of California, and reported upon by said Boundary
Coamission with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the
proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California.
and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory,
and said petition contained a description of said territory in words
and figures as hereinafter in this Resolution described; and
WHEREAS, the City C~uncil finds from evidence and reports
received that at the time of the filing and receipt of said petition,
it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one-fourth (t>
of the land in the territory by area and by assessed value in the
territory proposed to be annexed, according to the last preceding
equalized county assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and reports
received and from said petition that at the time of the filing and
presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to be
annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal
corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and is contiguous
to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
SO proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:

SOUTHEAST ANNEXATION NO. 2

A parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California,
being a portion of the SWl/4 of Section 13, Township 4 South, Range 10
West, S. B. B. & M., and the NWl/4 of Section 24, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Northwest corner of the existing
Anaheim City limit lines, as established by the Southeast Annexation to
the City of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 1104, November 27, 1956,
and filed with the Secretary of State December 31,1956, said point
of beginning also being 30.00 feet Easterly of the West line and 30.00
feet Southerly of the North line of the NWl/ 4 of Section 24, Township
4 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., thence,
1. Northerly along a line 30.00 feet Easterly and parallel with
the West line of the NWl/4 of said Section 24 and the West line of the
SWl/4 of said Section 13 to the point of intersection with the Southerly
line of the NWl/4 of the NWl/4 of the SWl/4 of said Section 13; thence,
2. Easterly along the last mentioned South line of the NWl/4 of
the NWl/4 of the SWl/4 of said Section 13 to the SW corner of the NEl/4
of the NWl/4 of the SWl/4 of said Section 13; thence,
3. Northerly along the West line of the NEl/4 of the NWl/4 of the
SWl/4 of said Section 13 to a point in a line parallel with and 20.00 feet
Southerly of the North line of the swl/ 4 of said Section 13 ; thence,
4. Easterly along the last mentioned parallel line to the point of
intersection with a line parallel with and 20.00 feet Westerly of the East
line of the SWl/4 of said Section 13; thence,
5. Southerly along the last mentioned parallel line to the point
of intersection with the Southerly line of the NE 1/4 of the swl/ 4 of said
Section 13; thence,
6. Westerly along the Southerly line of the NE 1/4 of the swl/ 4 of
said Section 13 to the Northwest corner of the SEl/4 of the SWl/4 of said

NOW, THEREFOREp BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that such proposed annexation be designated as
"SOU'f'Htl.A.ST ANNEXA'fION NO" aft and that
notioe of suoh proposed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter
provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a pUblio hearing shall be had
upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than sixty (60)
days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the owner or owners
of all of the territory to be annexed have petitioned for annexation
or filed their consents to suoh annexation, in writing, with the City
Council, in which event the hearing shall be set at any time after
oompliance with Section 35311 of the Government Code.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does find
that the owner Or owners of all of the territory proposed to be
annexed have not petitioned for annexation or filed their consents
to suoh annexation~ in writing, with the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 6th day of Ootober
19...5.2.-, at the hour of ~-7AOO ~ o'olock ..L...H., at the City Counoil
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same is
hereby, fixed as the day, hour and plaoe when and where the City
Council will hear protests made by any owner or owners of real
property within the territory proposed to be annexed; and that at any
tille before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner of
property within Baid ~errltory may tile with the City Clerk a written
protest against the annexation. Said protest shall be in writing
and shall state the name of the owner of the property affected and
the desoription and area of the property in general terms.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby p authorized and direoted to 't'lause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twi~e" but not oftener than onoe a week, in
a newspaper of general circulation" published in the CltY9 to wit:
The Anaheim Gazette of Anaheim" Orange County, California. and also
in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside of the City,
but in the County of Orange~ in which is located the territory herein-
above proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim 9 to wit:
The Plaoentia Courie~_~~~~~,~=='; and that such publioation shall
be oompleted at least tWlimty 1.!,20} days prior to the date of hearing
hereinabove specified.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause
wr1ttennotioe of suoh proposed annexation to be mailed to eaoh
person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed is
assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll available>> on
the date the proceedings were initlatedp at the address shawn on said
assessment roll or as known to said City Olerk, and to any person
who has filed his name and address and the designation of lands in
which he has any interest, either legal or equitable~ with said
Clerk; and in the event that land within the territory proposed to
be annexed to the City of Anaheim 1s owned by a County, the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim shall also cause written notice of suoh
proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such
Cou.nty. The foregoing notices shall be gl ven not less than twenty
(20) days before the first pUblic hearing on the proposed annexation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this

adopted at a regular meeting provided by law, of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim, held on the 25th day of August, 1959, by the following
