RESOLUT ION NO. 2lli
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING A MINlMU}~ BUILDING
SETBACK LINE ON BOTH SIDES OF LINCOLN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim r~unicipal Code provides that the
setback lines along Lincoln Avenue shall conform to the setbacks
already established by the State of California, Division of
Highways, except that on the north side of Lincoln Avenue,
between West Street and Illinois Street, there shall be, in
addition to the setback line provided by the Division of Highways
of the State of California, an additional setback of 6 feet; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the setback lines
along Lincoln Avenue as established by the State of California,
Division of Highways, and as above indicated, are insufficient
for public safety for the construction of commercial buildings;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that a
minimum building setback line of lOl feet from the present center
line of the street should be established along the south side of
Lincoln Avenue, and a minimum building setback line of 75 feet,
from the present center line of the street, should be established
along the north side of said street, making a setback line of
35 feet from the new property line on both sides of Lincoln
Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that there be, and is hereby, established a
minimum building setback line for all buildings constructed
along Lincoln Avenue of IOl feet, from the present center line
of the street, on the south side of Lincoln Avenue, and a minimum
building setback line of 75 feet, from the present center line of
the street, on the north side of Lincoln Avenue, making a build-
ing setback line of 35 feet from the new property line on both
sides of the street.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 25th day of August, 1959.
