A RESOLUTION OF THE liITY COUNCIL 01" THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION 01" A
REQUEST TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
FOR FUNDS FROM THE GROSSING PROTECTION FUND
FOR PROTECTION OF CROSSING NO. BK-512.4 AT
THE HlTERSECTION OF KATELLA AVENUE AND THE
SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY TRACKS.
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and the
City of Anaheim have entered into a contract for the erection of
crossing protection at Crossing No. BK-512.4 at the intersection
of Katella Avenue and the Southern Pacific Railroad Company tracks;
and
~&AS, the legislature of the State of California has
created a crossing protection fund for the assistance or local
agencies in the construction of crossing protections to be admin-
istered by the Public Utilities ~omDdssion; and
~~S, the Public Utilities Commission, by its order
in Public Utilit~ Commission Case Ho. 5495, has prescribed that
certain information and exhibits be set forth in requests for cross-
ing protection funds, including a resolution from the legislative
bod~ of the local agency authorizing the submission of a request
for said funds.
NOW, THEKEi-'ORE, BE IT Rl!lSOLVEi) by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that a request in conformity with the procedure con-
tained in the order in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495 be
subaitted to the Public Utilities Commission, requesting funds from
the Crossing Protection Fund for the protection of Crossing No.
BK-512.4 at the intersection of Katella Avenue and the Southern
Pacific Railroad Company tracks.
BE IT I''URTHE.ti il.ESOLVl!lv that the Engineering Department
of the City of Ananeim shall take all necessar~ steps to prepare
and submit such request to the Public Utilities Commission.
BE IT .ti'UrlTHErl RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is
hereby, authorized to execute said request for crossing protection
funds and to verify said request as prescribed in Appendix A of
said order in Public Utility Commission Case No. 5495.
THE FOREGOING R.t!:SOLUTION is approved and signed by me
