RESOLUTION NO. 66R -674
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2 :00 P.M. ON OCTOBER 13, 1966,
FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOB NO. 1Q03.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 13th day of
September, 1966, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
adopt Resolution No. 66R -602 finding and determining that public
convenience and necessity required the construction and comple-
tion of a public improvement consisting of the reconstruction of
bleachers at La Palma Park, at Harbor and Anaheim Boulevards, in
the City of Anaheim, Job No. 1003; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water and performing all work neces-
sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and
fixing the 13th day of October, 1966, at the hour of 2 :00
o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of said bids
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim;
and
WHEREAS, upon said 13th day of October,' 1966, at the
hour of 2 :00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did
open all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City
Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did tabulate
all bids so received and did report the result thereof to the
City Council at its regular meeting held on the 25th day of
October, 1966; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement, and that said bids should be rejected,
and the plans and specifications for said reconstruction of
bleachers at La Palma Park revised, and said job re- advertised
at a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2 :00 o'clock P.M. on October 13, 1966, tabulated by the City
Engineer, and submitted to the Council on October 25, 1966, for
the reconstruction of bleachers at La Palma Park, at Harbor and
Anaheim Boulevards, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 1003, be,
and the same are hereby rejected; and that the plans and specifica-
tions for said public improvement be revised, and said job
re- advertised at a later date.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 25th day of October, 1966.
