H ThE STATE EMPLlJYEES I i\ETIREMENT SYSTEM, M.A.KING ITS EMPLOYEES MEMBERS

~HEriEAS, the Board of Administration of the State Employees' Retirement System
and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF ANAHEIM entered into a contract
effective September 1, 17)0, providing for the participation of said
CITY uF aNAHEIM in the State Employees' Retirement System; and
1,-;1:iEhEAS, said contract provides for the funding of the liabilities for benefits
based on "prior service" by annual installment payments by said Agency
extending over a 25 year period beginning on the effective date of said
contract; and
\';hEH.EaS, the amount of said an.nual I!lstallment payment has been determined by
actuarial revaluation to be materially larger than previously determined;
and
\';HEriEaS, it is desirable that the contributions required of said Agency under
said contract not be excessive; and
khEdEaS, It is desirable to have prior service liabilities liquidated by con-
tributions expressed as a percentage of member payroll instead of as
a level annual amount;
NO],;, THEiiliI"URE, BE IT aESCLVElJ, that said CITY COUNCIL authorize, and it does
hereby authorize, an amendment to said Contract, a copy of said amendment
being attached hereto marked "Exhibit A'l, and by such reference made a
part tIereof as though herein set out in full; and
bE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED ThaT the presiding officer of said CITY COUNCIL be, and he
is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said amendment
for and on behalf of said CITY (iF .;u'laHEIM.
