A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM EXPRESSING APPROVAL OF THE CERTI-
FICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY
ISSUED BY THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES
COMMISSION TO AIR CALIFORNIA, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has been notified that the
California Public Utilities Commission has issued its Certificate
of Public Convenience and Necessity authorizing Air California,
Inc., to engage in regularly scheduled airline service to and
from the San Francisco area from Orange County Airport; and
WHEREAS, this City is very much in favor of this ad-
vancement of air travel which complements the commercial, indus-
trial, and recreational businesses of our community, and hereby
fully supports wholeheartedly this progressive step for the
growth of our City and its Citizens;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim expresses to the Orange County Board of Super-
visors its support of this forward step in providing better and
faster transportation for the people of Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this fourth day of October, 1966.
