AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING SECTION 18.61.050 AND ADDING
SECTION 18.61.050.600 TO CHAPTER 18.61,
TITLE 18, OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 18.61.050 of Chapter 18.61, Title 18,
of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby,
amended to read as follows:
"Section 18.61.050 The following buildings,
structures and uses shall be permitted in this zone
subject to a'conditional use permit in compliance
with Section 18.03.030 "Conditional Use Permits -
General" except that within that certain area
described on maps on file in the Planning Department
of the City of Anaheim and known as the Anaheim
Canyon Industrial Area, and notwithstanding the
provisions of Section 18.03.030.010 of this Code,
only those certain uses enumerated in Section
18.61.050.600 shall be conditionally permitted.
The site development standards of this zone shall
apply except as otherwise provided herein or as
specifically approved in conjunction with the
approval of said permit:"
SECTION 2.
That new Section 18.61.050.600 be, and the same
is hereby, added to Chapter 18.61, Title 18, of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to read as follows:
"Section 18.61.050.600 The following uses which
directly serve the industrial community or which have
been found to be industrial in nature and are, therefore,
not suitable in commercial zones, may be permitted by
conditional use permit in the Anaheim Canyon Industrial
Area:

.601 Automobile repair and/or overhaul,
including, but not limited to: mechanical, body
and fender work or painting or automobiles, boats,
trucks or motorcycles.
.602 Boiler and tank manufacturing.
.603 Banks.
.604. Buildings or structures in excess
of one. hundred (100.) feet in height.
.605 Commercial sales businesses which
primarily serve.. and are compatible with industrial
customers.
.606 Exterminating or disinfecting services.
.607 Explosives. Storage of any class
"A" or class "B" or in excess of twenty.(2.0) pounds
of class "C". explosives.
.608 Manufacturing operations not other-
wise listed as a permitted use in this zone, including
but not limited to: acid, alcohol, ammonia, bleaching
powder, chlorine, asphaltic concrete, cement, lime,
gypsum,.plaster of Paris, explosives, fertilizer, gas,
glue,.lampblack, synthetic rubber, and tar distillation
or processing, brick or concrete products, paint, oil,
shellac, turpentine or varnish, oil cloth or linoleum,
paper pulp, plastics,.polish, soap, soda and other
compounds, etc.
.609 Metal smelting, refining or processing
operations not otherwise listed as a permitted use in
this zone, including, but not limited to: high
temperature smelting by -blast furnaces or coke ovens,
metal foundries, drop forge operations or the rolling
and extrusion of ferrous metals.
.610 Motels or hotels.
.611 Restaurants: enclosed or semi -enclosed;
drive-in, drive-through or walk-ups."
'SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY
The City Council of the City of Anaheim hereby
declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or word
of this chapter of the Code hereby. adopted be declared for
any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that
it would have passed all other portions of this chapter
independent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as
may be declared invalid.
SECTION 4. SAVINGS CLAUSE
Neither the adoption of this
hereby of any other ordinance of this
affect the prosecution for violations
violations were committed prior to the

ordinance nor the repeal
City shall in any manner
of ordinances, which
effective date hereof,
nor be construed as a waiver of any license or penalty or the
penal provisions applicable to any violation thereof. The
provisions of this ordinance, insofar as they are substantially
the same as ordinance provisions previously adopted by the City
relating to the same subject matter, shall be construed as
restatements and continuations, and not as new enactments.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk -shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause -the same to -be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of,general circulation, printed, published and
circulated -in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
