RESOLUTION NO. 5275
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DESCRIBED AS "SUNKIST AND
LA PALMA ANNEXATION. 11
WHEREAS, heretofore, to ~it, on the 19th day of May,
1959, the City Council did receive a written petition asking
that certain new territory described.in said petition be annexed
to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the
proposal for the annexation of the territory described in said
petition was submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County
of Orange, State of California, and reported upon by said Boundary
Commission with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the
proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of May, 1959, the City Council
did adopt Resolution No. 5254 acknowl~dging receipt of the
petition asking that the territory described ther~in be annexed
to the City of Anaheim; designating the proposed annexation as
the Sunkist and La Palma Annexation; describing the boundaries
of the territory proposed to be annexed; and giving notice of the
day, hour and place when and where any person own~ng real property
within such territory so proposed to be annexed might appear
before the City Council and show cause why such territory should
not be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, no protests have been filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to the advantage of the City and for the best interest
of the citizens and residents thereof that said Sunkist and
La Palma Annexation proceedings be terminated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all proceedings for the annexation of
that certain territory known and designated as "Sunkist and
La Palma Annexation" to the City of Anaheim, be, and the same are
hereby terminated.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 2nd day of June, 1959.
