A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION QfTHE
FACILITIES OF ORANGE COUNTY WATER DISTRICT
NO.3, SITUATED WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND
NOTIFYING THE BOARD OF SUPE~Vl~~ OF THE
DESIRE OF THE CITY TO ACQUrR~ $U~ FACIl,;rnES.
WHEREAS, th, City Council hasd:lH1} informed that a petition
has been filed with the ,Board of Supe~vls~~s of Orange County, Calif-
ornia, requesting the dissolution of County Water Works District No.
3; and
WHEREAS, a portion of said Water Works District lies within
the City of Anaheim, and the City is interested in acquiring those
facilities of the District which are utilized in serving residents
of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be to the
advantage and best interests of the City of Anaheim ~o acquire those
facilities of said Orange County Water District No. 3 now situated
within the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Qouncil of the
City of Anaheim that upon dissolution of Orange County Water District
No.3, the Board of Supervisors be requested to permit the City of
Anaheim to acquire those facilities of said District lying within the
city limits of the City of Anaheim.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLV~~ that a certified copy of this
resolution be delivered to the Board of Supervisors of Orange County,
California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
2nd day of June, 1959.
