ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, JOB liO. 454 WHiREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find and determine that pablic conTenience and nece.sity r9~uire the acquisition of materials, plant. labor and serTices for a pub- lic improvement consisting of the construction and completion of a rigldframe, steel building at the Northeast corner of Crescent ATenue and Brook:hurst Street, 1n the City of Anaheim, Job No. 454; and WHEREAS, Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of California requires that the City Council ascertain and determine the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and overtime work on public works and improvements in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman, laborer or mechanic needed for the execution ot such public contracts and the mak1Dg ,of such public improTements, and for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for the execution and completion of such public contracts or improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that, in accordance with the provisions of Section 1770.of the Labor Code of the State of California, the City Council has ascertained And does hereby determine the general prevailiRg rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and oTertime work on public works, and the public illprovement consisting ot the construction and completion of a rigid frame, steel building at the liortheast corner of Crescent .Tenne and Brookhurst Street. in the City of Anaheim., Job No. 454, in the locality in which such work is to be performed, and each craft or type of laborer, wor~ man or mechanic needed for the execution of public works contracts for furnishing all plant, materials, labor, serTicss and equipment for the public improvement consisting of the consrtuction and COm - pletion of s~id rigid frame, steel building at Northeast corner ot Crescent Avenue and Brookhurst Street, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 454. and that said prevailing rates so determined are as follows: - '-,. G. '0., B. C. A., H. B. I.. ~. G. C. A., A. F. L.-C. I. O. Southern Calitornia Mas- ter Labor Agreement and Supplement. The foregoing wage scale and. rates are for an eight hour day, forty hour week:, time and one-half for overtime and double time Sund.~s and hOlidays, except as otherwise proTided in the May, 19.58, reTision of the A. If a117 of the above mentioned holidays, other than Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day, faUs on Sunday, the Monday following shall be considered a legal holiday. The overtime rule establishing the rates ot overtime and holiday work shan be in accordance with the foll6wing: Where a single shift is worked, eight hours of continuous employment. escept for lunch periods, shall constitute a day's work beginning on Monday and continuing through Friday each week. Where work is required in excess of eight hours in any one day or during the in- terval of time froll .5:00 PM Friday and 12:00 o'clock: midnight Satur- day night, such work shall be paid for at the minillUlll rate of one and one-half (li) times the basic rate of wages, and. on Sundays and. holidays such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate of wages, except as otherwise provided in the May, 19.58 revision of the A. G. C., B. C. A., H. B.!., E. G. C. .fo.. A. F. L. - C. I. O. Southern California Master Labor Agreement and. Supplements. Properly indentured apprentices to any of the trades listed above m!9' be employed upon such pIlblic improvements with skilled workmen, subject to the provisions of Section 1777.5 of the Labor Code of the State of California, the wage rates for 8Uca apprentices to be determined as provided in said Section 1777..5.
