A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FI:IDING THAT ALL PROPERTY WITHIN
TEE CITY SHOULD BE EXEMPT FROM COUNTY STRUCTtJRAI,
FIRE PROTECTION TAX.
WHEREAS, Section 2564; of the Government Code of the State of
California establishes the procedure whereby property within incorporated
cities may be exempt from county tax levies for structural fire protection;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds after due study and deliberation
that all of the qualifications for said exemption exist and are as follows:
1. That the City of Anaheim has an organized
Fire Department in operation and existenoe
at the present time.
2. That said Fire Department is providing ade-
quate structural fire protection to all
property within the incorporated limits of
the City.
). That no additional benefit in fire pro-
tection is received or required by such
property from structural fire protection
given by the County of Orange.
NOW, THEREJ'O:RE, BE IT RESOLVlilD by the Cit;y Council of the City
of Anaheim that a petition be presented to the Orange County Board of Super-
visors, in writing, requesting the exclusion of all property within the City
of Anaheim from the levy of texes for structural fire protection, and that
the City Manager of the City of Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to so Iletition the said Board of Supervisors and to provide them with
e certified copy of this resolution.
THE FOREGOING :RESOLUTIon is approved and signed by me this 7th
day of April, 1959.
