A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING .A1ID DE$MINING !!:'HAT A
CHANGE OF ZOliE SHOULD NOT BE GRANTED IN A
CERTAIN AREA OF THIll CITY BEREIN.A...1l".rER DESCRIBED.
WHEREAS, the Cit;y Planning Commission of the Cit;y of
Anaheim did her.~ofore fix a time and place for the holding of
a public hearing upon a proposed change in the boundaries of the
zone or zones hereinn.fter mentioned and descrl11ed in tl:\e manner and
as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim MUnicipal Code,
and did duly hold and conduct such public hearing to consider said
proposed change of zone or zones, and did receive evidence and reports
from persons interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by formal
resolution,its findings of frcts and did refer the matter of said pro-
posed change of zone or zones to the City Council without recommendation
as a motion to deny said reclassification did not carry by a two-thirds
majority vote of the members of said Commission; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report of the City Planning Com-
mission, the-eity "Council did thereupon fix the 7th day of April, 19.59,
as the time and the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of
Anaheim as the place for a public hearing upon said proposed change of zone
or zones, and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said
Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearing,
the City Council did dul;y hold and conduct such hearing and did give
all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard and did receive
evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it is
now situated to a different zone or zones, as hereinafter set forth, is
more suitable for the zone in which it is now incorporated, and that a
change of zone shoul~ not be eranted.
NOW, THEDlFOllE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit;y
of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the City of Ana-
heim. County of Orange, State of California, described as follows, to wit:
The West 16..58 acres of the Northwest quarter of the
Southwest quarter of Section 11, Township 4 South, Range
10 West, S.B.B. & M.
remain in~, EESIDEN'l'IAL-AGRICULTORAL ZOI'lE, in which it is now incorpo-
rated and that the reclassification to 0-1 NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL .AND
R-3, MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDElTTIAL ZONES be denied.
TEE FOREGOING BESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
7th daf of April, 1959.
