THE CONSTRUCTION mlIlUOJ'.
WRMRmAS, public convenience and necessity require the constru~
tion and completion of a public imprarement in the City of Anaheim. to wit:
The designing, construction and completion of a
12 XV Substation on property owned by the City of
Anaheim on the west side of Gilbert Street. 700
feet south of Crescent Avenue, in the Oity of
Anaheim, in accordance with plans and specifica-
tions on file in the Office of the City Clerk or
Utilities Director of the City of Anaheim. together
with all appurtenant work, Work Order No. 2602.
AND ~mAS. the City Council instructed the Utilities Director
to prepare detailed plans, profiles. draWings and specifications. and estimates
of quantities and costs. end make necessary surveys for the construction of
said public improvement; and
IlEREAS, said Utilities Director has prepared said detailed plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for the construction of said public im-
provement and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed plans. profiles.
drawings and specifications for said public improvement above mentioned are in
accordance with good engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs
and requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said
area for the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are adequate
for the construction of said public improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the detailed plans. profiles, drawings and specifications for
said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Utilities Director.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement shall be
constructed in accordance with said detailed plans. profiles. drawings and
specifications as prepared by said Utilities Director and hereby approved. and
such addenda or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the awarding
of bids therefor.

BE IT FURTHl!:R RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim
be. and she is hereby. authorized and directed to publish a notice according
to law, inviting sealed proposals for the furnishing of all plant. labor.
services, materiels and equipment. and all utilities and transporation. in-
cluding power. fuel and water. and performing all work necessary to construct
and complete in a good and workmanlike manner. in strict accordance with said
detailed plans, profiles. drawings and specifications as prepared by said
Utilities Director. the public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described.
and fixing the 9th day of April, 1959. at the hour of 2:00 o'clOCk P.M. as the

date and hour for the opening of said bids at the Oity Council Chamber in
the City Hall in the City of Anaheim. anQ that sai4 notice shall be publiShed
twice. the first of which publications .:hall.be at least ten (10) ~s prior
to the date fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications shall
be at least (5) five days apart.
AND BE IT FlTRTmilR RESOLVE that the successfuL bidder or bidders
shall be required to enter into a contract with the City of Anaheim in the
manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the
construction. installation and completion of said public improvement herein-
abov. mentioned and described. in accordance with the plans and specifications
prepared by said Utilities Director. the notice inviting sealed proposals,
this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the
laws of the State of California, and Shall be required to post bonds and in-
surance in the amounts and within the time required by law. as specified in
the notice inviting sealed proposals. and in a form approved by the City
Attorney.
