RESOLUTION NO. 66R- 516
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT EMPLOYING MOFFATT NICHOL, ENGINEERS,
TO RENDER ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE GRADE SEPARATION AT THE ATCHISON,
TOPEKA SANTA FE RAILWAY CROSSING OF KATELLA
AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
and determines that a separation of grade should be constructed
at the Santa Fe Railway Crossing of Katella Avenue (Crossing
No. 2- 170.5) in order to promote better traffic circulation and
safety of persons using Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City is in need of professional engineer-
ing services in connection with the construction of said grade
separation; and
WHEREAS, Moffatt Nichol, Engineers, have submitted
a proposal to render said engineering services, by letter dated
March 30, 1966, and signed by John G. Moffatt; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to secure the services of
said engineers in the construction of said grade separation;
and
WHEREAS, a form of agreement has this day been sub-
mitted to the City Council to be made and entered into by and
between Moffatt Nichol, Engineers, and the City of Anaheim,
providing for the rendering of said professional engineering
services upon the terms and conditions, and for the compensation
therein set forth, which agreement the City Council finds would
be for the benefit of the City and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement this day submitted to
the City Council to be made and entered into by and between the
City of Anaheim and Moffatt Nichol, Engineers, providing for
the employment of said engineers to render professional
engineering services in connection with the construction of the
above mentioned grade separation, upon the terms and conditions,
and for the compensation set forth in said agreement, be, and
the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 26th day of July 1966.
