66-502RESOLUTION NO. 66R- 569 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING THE GRANT DEED IN FAVOR OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM EXECUTED BY J. S. BELOND AND RUTH M. BELOND. WHEREAS, on or about the 1st day of March, 1966, the City of Anaheim entered into a Purchase Agreement with J. S. Belond and Ruth M. Belond for the purchase of the following described real property: That portion of the west half of the northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 4 South, Range 9 West, of the San Bernardino Meridian, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, according to an official plat of said land, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of said section, North 1211.71 feet from the northwest corner of Lot 4 of said section; thence North 359.13 feet along said west line; thence North 87 51' 00" East 1154.72 feet; thence South 373.46 feet along a line parallel to said west line to the northeast corner of the land described as Parcel 1 in deed to J. W. Walls, et ux, recorded November 1, 1928 in Book 208, page 421, of Official Records, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, said point being also on the west line of the land conveyed to Peter Allec, Jr., et ux, by deed recorded March 2, 1928 in Book 140, page 93, of said Official Records; thence South 88° 33' 40" West 1154.36 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPT THEREFROM that portion conveyed to Humble Oil and Refining Company, a Delaware corporation, by deed recorded November 8, 1963, in Book 6798, page 58, of Official Records of Orange County, California. AND WHEREAS, the said J. S. and Ruth M. Belond have tendered their grant deed to said property executed in favor of the City of Anaheim as Grantee; and WHEREAS, the acquisition of said real property is necessary for street, highway and flood control purposes and it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to accept such deed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it accept, and it does hereby accept, the grant deed to the above described real property; and that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause the same to be recorded. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance be, and he is hereby, directed to issue warrants in the amounts and in the manner as set forth in said agreement of March 1, 1966 as the same has been varied by a letter of direction from the owners of record of said real property.
