A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT, WITH
REFERENCE TO IMPROVEMENT OF A PORTION OF
KNOTT AVENUE.
WHEREAS, Anaheim Union High School District is
constructing a school at 1301 Knott Avenue in the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the school is to be financed with State
Aid Funds, and the Anaheim Union High School District is not
able to pay for any paving to exceed the width of 18 feet,
including a deduction for existing paving; and
WHEREAS, Anaheim Union High School District's
share of the improvements on Knott Avenue is shown on the
approved plans under "District Responsibility and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim's share of the improve-
ments on Knott Avenue is shown on the approved plans under
"City of Anaheim Responsibility and
WHEREAS, the City and said School District have
determined that it will be more advantageous and in the best
interests of both parties if the contract for all work shown
under "District Responsibility" and "City of Anaheim
Responsibility" is let by Anaheim Union High School District
and reimbursement made by the City to said School District for
the City's share; and
WHEREAS, Anaheim Union High School District has
tendered to the City an agreement to be made and entered into
between the City of Anaheim and said School District providing
for the construction of said street improvements in the manner
determined to be more advantageous to both parties, as herein
above outlined.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the agreement tendered to the
City by Anaheim Union High School District, providing for the
letting of a contract by said School District for the construc-
tion of street improvements on Knott Avenue in accordance with
approved plans and specifications, and for reimbursement by
the City of its share of said improvements, upon the terms
and conditions set forth in said agreement, be, and the same
is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 28th day of June, 1966.
