59R-5051 RESOLUT ION NO. 2Qi!. ~".- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING .AND APPROVING AN ACTUARIAL SURVEY TO BE MADE RELATING TO RETIREMENT OF CITY EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the City of Anaha m has heretofore entered into a contract with the Board of Administration of the State Employees' Retirement System of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the Board of Administration has submitted to the City an agreement to be entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the firm of Coates, Herfurth and England, Consulting Actuaries, covering the employment of said Consulting Actuaries by the City of Anaheim for the following work: 1. To make as of June 30, 1958, with reference to persons who have been and are members of the State Employees' Retirement System with credit for services rendered as employees, the investi- gation and valuation provided for in Section 20127 of the State Employees' Retirement Law, the results of said investigation and valuation to be the basis of determination by the Board of Administration, State Employees' Retirement System, of any necessary adjustment in the contributions required of the City of Anaheim under the contract between its legislative body and said Board. 2. To make as of June 30, 1958, such valuation of assets and liabilities as may be necessary to determine the contribution which would be re- quired of the City of Anaheim if it subjected itself and its employees to certain amendments to the Retirement Law. the cost of such work to be the sum of $395.05, which amount shall be payable by the City of Anaheim when a summary of the results of the calculations made under said agreement is delivered to the Board of Administration of the State Employees' Retirement System; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that it would be to the advantage and for the best interest of the City of Anaheim and its employees to have such actuarial investigation and valuation made by said Consulting Actuaries; and that the proposed agreement submitted to the City by said Board of Administration to be entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and Coates, Herfurth and England, Consulting Actuaries, should be approved and its execution authorized; ,- NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the proposed contract this day submitted to the City Council to be entered into by and be- tween the City of Anaheim and the firm of Coates, Herfurth and England, Consulting Actuaries, for making an investigation and valuation of the matters set forth in said contract and hereinabove mentioned, be, and the same is hereby, approved; and that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim. -1- - AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to said firm for the full performance and completion of said services the sum of $395.05.
