A RESOLtn'ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CHANGE
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONE OR ZONES HEREIN-
AFTER DESCRIBED., AND REFERRING THE MATTER TO
THE CITY PLANNING COreUSSlON FOR INVESTlGA-
T ION, HEAR lHG, RECQMMENDAT ION AND REPORT TO
THE CITY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that that certain
area in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, more particu larly described. as follows, to wi t:
The West 200 feet of that portion of the West
half (Wi) of the Southeast quarter (SEi) of
the Sottthwest quarter (SWi) of Section 12,
Township 4 South, Range 11 West, S.B.B. & M.,
consisting of 303.59 feet frontage on Lincoln
Avenue and 301.1 feet frontage on Bel-Air Road.
(Said property is located at the Southwest
corner of Tract No. 2780.)
is now zoned C-3, HEAVY-COMMERCIAL ZONE; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that
it would be to the best interest of the City and the citizens
and residents thereof that said property be changed from C-3,
HEAVY-COMMERCIAL ZONE to C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD-COMMERCIAL ZONE;
and that the matter of said rezoning of said property should
be referred to the City Planning Commission for investigation,
hearing, report and recommendation to the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the City Planning Commission be,
and it is hereby, requested to make an inspection, investiga-
tion and study of the area proposed to be reclassified from
C-3, Heavy-Commercial Zone to C-l, Neighborhood-Commercial
Zone, and hereinabove described; to hold a public hearing on
the matter of said reclassification, and thereafter to report
its findings and recommendations to the City Council in
accordance with Section 9200.16 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 6th day of January, 1959.
