RESOLUTION NO. 4967
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COM-
MENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEX-
ATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY

have filed with the City Council a written request, requesting
the consent of the City Council of the City of Anaheim to the
commencement of proceedings for the annexation of the herein-
arter described territory to the City of Anaheim, and stating
that said territor""J 1s inhabited territory and 1s contiguous to
the City of Anaheilt.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to tho advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim
and to the qualified electors residing within said territory to
permit the .above named proponents to commence proceedings for
the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon
the conditions hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City
Planning Commissj_on and its report and recommendations received
reco~nending the granting of consent to commence proceedings for
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City Council be, and
it is hereby given to said proponents to commence proceedings
for the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the
City of Anaheim, upon the following conditions:
First: That the proposal for annexation of said terri-
tory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported
upo~ to the proponents by th~ Boundary Commission of the County
of Orange, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of
proposod boundaries.
Second: That no petition be circulated for the annexa-
tion of said territory until after notice of intention to circu-
late such petition has been published as required by law, and a
copy of such notice and an affidavit of publication has been
fiJqd with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10)
days a~ter the date of publication of said notice, and a resolu-
tion has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
acknowledging receipt of said notice and approving the circula-
tion of said petition.
Third: That the circulation of any petition for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not
be commenced until twenty-one (21) days after the publication
of said notice of intention to circulate the same.
The boundaries (If the territory for which proceedings
are proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the
City of Anaheim are described as follows:

KNOTT-ORANGE ANNEXATION
A tract of land being a portion of the east half of Section 15, Township
4 South, Range] 1 West, S. B. B. & M., located in the County of Orange, State
of California, described as fol lows:
Beginning at a point in the existing Anaheim City limits line as established
by the Ball-Dale Annexation to the City of Anaheim, as passed by Ordinance No.
1099 on November ]3, 1956, and fi led with the Secretary of State on December
13,1956, said point being 30 feet west of the east line and 20 feet north of
the south line of the NE~ of said Section 15; thence,
]. Fo]lowing said City limits line southerly to a point, said point being
in a line parallel with and 57 feet north of the North line of the South 10
chains of the E~ , W~, NE~, SE~ of said Section 15; thence,
2. Westerly along the last mentioned parallel line to the west line of the
E~ of the NE~ of the SE~ of said Section 15; thence,
3. Southerly along the last mentioned west line 57 feet to the point of
intersection with the north line of the south 660 feet of the E~ of the W~
of the NE~ of the SE~ of said Section 15; thence,
4. Westerly along the last mentioned north line to the east line of the
wt of the W~ of the NE~ of the SE~ of said Section 15; thence,
5. Northerly along the last mentioned east line to the north line of the
SE~ of said Section 15; thence,
6. Westerly along the last mentioned north line to the east line of the
NW~ of the SE~ of said Section ]5; thence,
7. Southerly along the last mentioned east line to the south line of the
N~ of the NW~ of the SE~ of said Section ]5 ; thence,

9. Following the City of Buena Park City limits line northerly 640 feet,
more or less, easterly 297.62 feet, more or less; thence northerly 640 feet,
more or less; easterly 355 feet, more or less, northerly 50 feet, more or less,
to a point, said point being in the south line of Tract 2826 as shown on a
map fi led in Book 85, Pages 37 to 42 inclusive of Miscellaneous Maps in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence,
10. Continuing to follow the City limits line of the City of Buena Park
easterly 33 1. 80 feet, more or less; northerly 615,26 feet, more or less;
eas ter 1 y 333.62 feet, more or less; northerly 804.98 feet, more or less;
easterly 630 feet, more or less, to the point of intersection with the existing
Anaheim City 1 imi ts 1 i ne as established by said Ball-Dale Annexation to the
City of Anaheim; thence,
11. Southerly along the last mentioned City limits line to the point of
beginning.
