A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM .APPROVING .AND AUTHORIZING THE Ex.-
ECUTION OF A LEASE TO BE M.AJIlll .AND ENTERED Im!O
WITH THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPAEY FOR THE LEASING
OF CERTAIN PREMISES BY THE CIT! FOR THJI PAllXIm
OF AUTOMOBILES.
~~AS, the City of Anaheim desires to lease certain property
owned by the Southern Pacific Company for the parking of automobiles;
and
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company has offered to lease said
property to the City of Anaheim and has tendered to the City a commercial
lease to be made and entered into by and between Southern Pacific Company
and the City of Anaheim, for the leasing of said property, which is shown
enclosed within red lines upon the print attached to and made a part of
said lease. for a rental of Or.e Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($160.00) per
annum, payable annually in advance, upon the terms and conditions set forth
in said lease; and
~~AS, the City Council does find and determine that said rate
of rental is fair and reasonable and that the terms and conditions set forth
in said lease are satisfactory, and that it would be to the advantage and
for the best interest of the City to enter into said lease.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the commercial lease this d~ submitted to the City Council
by the Southern Pacific Company, to be made and entered into by the Southern
Pacific Company as Lessor and the City of Anaheim as Lessee for the leasing
of the premises of the Southern Pacific Company shown enclosed within red
lines upon the print of said company's "L. A. Div1n Drawing B-1434. revised
Mq 23, 1958". attached to said lease and made a part thereof, for the parking
of automobiles. at the rate of One Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($160.00) per
annum. p~bale annually in advance, for the term of one year from the first
day of June. 1958, and upon the terms and conditions set forth in said lease,
be. and the same is hereby approved and accepted.
.AND BE IT FURTHER BESOLVED that the Mqor and City Clerk be. and
they are hereby authorized to execute said lease for, and on behalf of the
City of Anaheim.
TEE FOREGOING RESOWTION was approved and signed by me this
9th day of December. 1958.
