A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COilliCIL OF THE
CITY OF N~AHEIM DETE~rrNING THE NECESSITY
FOR, AND DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION BY,
EIUNENT DO.tvIAIN OF HEAL PROPERTY FOR HIGH-
v~AY AND PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition in fee of certain real property within the City of
Anaheim for the following purposes, to wit: highway, drainage
and public utility purposes; and
vlliEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of fee title
in and to all that certain real property herein described by the
City of Anaheim for highway, drainage and public utility purposes;
and
WHEREAS, said City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of fee title
because of the necessity to retain access rights and other rights
of control in the operation of the Anaheim Convention Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of fee title in and to that certain real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, more particularly described as follows, to wit:
The North 32.00 feet of the East 833.76 feet of the
West 863.76 feet of the North half of the North half
of the Southwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, partly in
the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, and partly in
the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a Map recorded in
Book 51, page 10 of Hiscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California.
EXCEPTING THE1~FROM the following described parcel:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the North 32.00
feet of the West 863.76 feet of the North half of
the North half of the Southwest quarter of the
Northwest quarter of said Section 27; thence
South 000 11' 02" East 32.00 feet; thence
South 890 48' 5811 West 150.00 feet; thence
North 770 46' 25" East 153.38 feet to the point
of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity
require the acquisition of fee title in and to said land by the
City of Anaheim for the aforesaid purposes, and that the taking
of the property herein above described is necessary therefor and
the uses to which it is to be put are uses authorized by law,
and the taking of said property is necessary to such uses.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city Council does
hereby authorize the acquisition of fee title in and to said
property by the City of Anaheim, and the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim is hereby directed to institute an action in
eminent domain for the acquisition of fee title in and to said
property, and to perform and carry out all of the necessary
proceedings and steps incident to the acquisition of said fee
title to said property and to obtaining immediate possession
thereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of March, 1967.
