RESOLUTION NO. 67R-80
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM TERr1INATING ALL PROCEEDINGS
IN CONNECTION WITH CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NO. 616, AND DECLARING RESOLUTION NO. 64R-725
NULL AND VOID.
WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore, to wit, on
October 6, 1964, adopt Resolution No. 64R-725 granting Condi-
tional Use Permit No. 616 permitting the establishment of a
privately operated amusement park and commercial-recreational
facility, including the following:
(a) World trade and industrial exhibits;
(b) Cultural shows and exhibits;
(c) Retail and wholesale theme merchandising,
including on-sale of alcoholic beverages;
(d) Hotel;
(e) Television studio;
(f) Six-hundred-foot (600') high observation
tower and rotating restaurant;
(g) Institute of Oriental and Occidental studies
with meditation center and dormitory,
on the property therein described, subject to certain conditions
set forth in said resolution; and
ViliEREAS, numerous requests for additional time to
comply with the conditions set forth in said resolution have
been granted by the City Council; and
V~HEREAS, the owner of subject property has, on
January 23, 1967, requested a further extension of ninety days
within which to comply with the conditions subject to which said
conditional use permit was granted; and
vlliEREAS, after a careful review of the matter, the City
Council finds that none of the conditions of said resolution have
been complied v'lith by the owner of subject property; and that
said request for additional time should, therefore, be denied
and all proceedings in connection \lith said Conditional Use
Permit No. 616 terminated and Resolution No. 64R-725 granting
said permit declared null and void.
NOW, THEP~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the request of the owner of subject
property for a further extension of time -to comply with the
conditions of Resolution No. 64.R--725 granting Conditional Use
Permit No. 616, be, and the sar,le is hereby denied.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all proceedings in connec-
tion with Conditional Use Permit No. 616 be, and the same are
hereby terminated; and that Resolution No. 64R-725 be, and the
same is hereby declared to be null and void from and after this
date.
