A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF M~AHEIM AUTHORIZING AN AMENDr~NT
TO AN AGREElVIENT ENTERED INTO ON JUNE 28,
1966 WITH THE ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL
DISTRICT OF ORM~GE COm~TY, RELATING TO
STREET It!il?ROVElVIENTS IN KNOTT AVENUE.
\mEREAS, the City of &1aheim and the Anaheim Union
High School District of Orange County have heretofore, on the
28th day of June, 1966, entered into an agreement relating to
street improvements in connection with the construction of a
school by said High School District at 1301 Knott Avenue,
in the City of Anaheim; and
vlliEREAS, since said date the parties, being confronted
with the additional problem of sharing the costs of lowering an
oil pipe line in the street right of way, have agreed to share
equally in the costs (estimated to be $14,850.00) of lowering
said pipe line; and
WHEREAS, since said date Drawing No. 6645, prepared
by r1cDaniel Engineering Company, covering the contemplated
street improvements, has been submitted to the Engineering
Department of the City and approved by the City; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend said agreement
entered into on June 28, 1966 to provide for the lowering of
said pipe line facilities in the street right of way and to
provide for the sharing of the costs of construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the agreement entered into on June 28,
1966 between the City of Anaheim and Anaheim Union High School
District of Orange County relating to street improvements in
connection with the construction of a school by said High School
District at 1301 Knott Avenue, be amended as follows:
That the following numbered paragraphs be added to
the six paragraphs.set forth in said original agreement:
Ii 7 . ANAHEIM and DISTRICT will share equally in the
cost of lowering existing pipe line facilities
lying within the area covered by said street
improvements with the DISTRICT letting the bids
and handling the construction in the same
manner as set forth in the original agreement.
"8. CITY does hereby approve the plans and specifi-
cations for street improvements as the same are
indicated on Drawing No. 6645 prepared by
McDaniel Engineering Company and submitted by
DISTRICT to the Engineering Department of CITY.
"9. Except to the extent that it be varied by the
paragraphs herein contained, the Agreement
between the parties hereto under date of June 28,
1966 shall remain in full force and effect.1!

BE IT FURTHER HESOLVED that the Hayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute an a~mendment to
said agreement as above provided, for and on behalf of the
City of Anaheim.
