A RESOLUf ION OF THE CITY COUlfCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERIJro- THE VACATION .AND ABAlIDON-
MENT OF AN ALLEY AND AN BASEMENT FOR ALLEY
PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG THE
HEREINAFTER DESCR IBED REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim,
a Municipal Corporation of the State of California, did, on
the 28th day of January, 1958, pass Its Ordinance No. 1214
entl tied, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THE
IIITENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY
AND AN EASEMENT FOR ALLEY PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS .AlID
ALONG THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY; FIXIJlG A TIME
AND PLACE FCR A HEAR ING THEREON; AND DIRECT LNG THE POST ING
OF NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE,"
whereby It declared its intention to vacate and abandon and
close to public use an alley and an easement for alley pur-
poses upon, over, across and along the hereinafter described
property, under the provisions of the Street VacatiQn Act of
1941; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in said ordinance referred
to a map on file In the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and clos-
Ing to public use of said alley and easement for alley purposes;
and

WHEREAS, said City Council did by said ordinance fix
the 18th day of February, 1958 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. In the
Council Chamber In the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as
the time and place for a public hearing on the matter of such
vacation, abandonment and closing to public use ~f said alley
and easement for alley purposes, for all persons, interested
In or objecting to such proposed vacation, abandonment and
closing to public use to appear and show cause, if any they
had, why such alley and easement for alley purposes should
not be vacated, abandoned and closed to public use; and
WHEREAS, said ordinance was published on the 4th
day of February, 1958, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in
the City of Anaheim, Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, by said ordinance said City Council di-
rected that notices of the passage of said ordinance and of
the tiae and place o~ the hearing on the matter o~ the vaca-
tion, abandonment and closing to public use of said alley
and easement for alley purposes be posted conspicuously alQng
the lines of said alley and easement proposed to be vacated,
not more than 300 feet apart, at least ten (10) days before
said hearing, and not less than three (3) such notices should
be posted; and
WHEREAS, Robert J. Avila did on the 5th day of
February, 1958, post conspicuously not less than three (3)
such notices, which notices were posted not more than 300
feet apart, and were posted along the lines of said alley
and easement proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) d~s
before said hearing; and

WHEREAS, said City C~uncil did on the 18th day of
February, 1958, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., at said City Hall, con-
duct a public hearing on the matter of whether said alley
and easement for alley purposes, hereinafter described,
should be vacated, abandoned and closed to public use, and
at said hearing did hear evidence thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all the
evidence submitted that $ald alley and easement for alley
purposes described in the Ordinance of Intention and herein-
after described, are unnecessary for present or prospective
alley purposes, and that an order vacating such ~11~y and
easement for alley purposes as described in the Ordinance of
Intention should be made by the City Council.
KJN, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds the recitals hereinbefore set
fotth in this resolution to be true;
2. That it finds from all the evidence subaitted
that said alley and easement for alley purposes describe. in
said ordinance are unnecessary for present or prospective
public purposes;

3. That it does hereby order that said alley and
easement for all-.y purposes be, and they are hereby, Vacated,
abandoned and closed to public use;
4. That said alley and easement for alley purposes
herein ordered vacated, abandoned and closed to public use
are those described in said Ordinance Ho. la14, are situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, state of California,
and are more particularly described as follows:
An alley and easement for alley purposes upon,
over, across and along the following descrihed
property, to wit:
A portion of land located in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, said por-
tion of land being shown as an alley on a map of
Tract No. 3147, filed in Book 99, Pages 47 and
48, of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the
County Recorder of said Orange County, more par-
ticularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the West line of Lot 41
of said Tract, said point being 126.75 feet South
of the monumented center lIne of Cerrltos Avenue;
thence, North 890 26' 29" West 20 feet; thence,
South 450 ~. 12" West 14.19 feet; thence, North
890 26' 29 West 292.61 feet; thence South 00
55' 26" West 20 feet; thence, South A90 26' 29"
East 292.61 feet; thence, South 440 15' 31" East
14.10 feet; thence, South 890 26' 29" East 20
feet; thence, North O. 55' 13" East 40 feet to the
point of beginning.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certi-
fied copy of this resolution and order, attested by her under

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
