RESOLUTION NO. 4356
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ON ITS OWN MOTION;
DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY AS THE

DESORIBING THE BOUNDARIES or THE TERRITORY ,
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF
THE DAY>> HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY
PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH
TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has in-
vestigated certain uninhabited territory as hereinafter set forth
and does find that such territory is so situated as to require
facilities of the Oity of Anaheim to pass through such territory,
and does find that such territory can be easily served with the
facilities of the City of Anaheim and does further find that
service of other areas in the City of Anaheim will be facilitated
by annexation of such uninhabited territory, and that annexation
of such territory will be in the best interest of the City of
Anaheim and the best interest of the area to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby determine that
proceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter desoribed
uninhabited territory should be initiated by the City Council on
its own initiative; and
WHEREAS, the proposal for the annexation of the terri-
tory hereinafter described to the City of Anaheim was submitted
to the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, State of
California, and reported upon by said Boundary Commission with
respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed
boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
Oity of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
Oalifornia and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is
uninhabited territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received that said new territory proposed to be annexed
to said Oity of Anaheim does not form a part of any municipal
oorporation and that said territory is uninhabited and is oon-
tiguous to the C1ty of Anahe1m; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that the boundaries
of the territory so proposed to be annexed to the City of An~im
are as follows, to wit:

BROOKHURST-LINCOLN ANNEXATION
A parcel of land located in the County of Orange. State of California,
being a portion of Sections 7 and 18 of Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S. B. B. & M., more particularly described as fol lows:
Beginning at an angle point In the existing City limits line as es-
tablished by the Orange Avenue Annexation to t.he City of Anaheim as
passed by Ord i nance No. 914 on Augus t 10, 1954., and f II ed with the
Secretary of State on October 18, 1954, said point being 30 feet West of
the East line, and 30 feet North of the South line of said Section 7; thence,
I. Northerly parallel with and 30 feet West of said East line 10
feet; thence,
2. Westerly parallel with and 40 feet North of said South line to the
point of intersection with the Northerly prolongation of the West line of
East five acres of the North half of the North~st k of the Northeast k
of said Section 18; thence,
3. Southerly along said Northerly prolongation and West line to the
point of intersection with the South line of the Nt of the NEk of the
NE* of said Section 18; thence,
4. Easterly along said South line to the point of intersection with
the existing City limits line as established by said Orange Avenue
Annexation; thence,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE OITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
That the proposed annexation be, and it is hereby,
~nitlated on the motion of the City Council of the City of Anaheim
and that such proposed annexation be designated as the
BROOKHURS~-LINCOLN .VWRYATION and that notice of such
proposed annexation be given as hereinafter provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing sb.all
be held upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the
QW!ler or owners of a,IL of the territory to be annexed file their
consent to such annexation, in writing, with the City Counoil,
tn, whiQh eyent the hearing shall be set at any time after oom-
pliance with Sectien 35311 of the Government Code.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oity Council does

Placentia> Orange Count;y. California; and that such publication
shall be (lompleted at :i.east tweYlty (20) days prior to the date
of hearing hereinabove specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
C,tty of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available,:)n the date the proceedings were init1.ated, at the
address shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and t.o any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or eq~,li table, with sald Clerk; and in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim is owned by a County, the Oity Clerk of the City of

Anaheim shall also oause written notioe of suoh proposed annexa-
tion to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of suoh Oounty.
The foregoing notioe8 shall be given not less than twenty (20)
.-- days before the first pUblio hearing on the proposed annexation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
