A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT, TO WIT: THE REDESIGNING AND ALTERATION OF
A 12 KV SUBSTATION ON THE EAST SIDE OF SOUTH
LOS ANGELES ST.. SOUTH OF THE SOlYfHERN PACIF IC
RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND NORTH OF ELLSWORTH
AVENUE. WORK ORDER NO. 2S 1'3:
AND APPROVING THE ~ PLANS, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the con-
struction and completion or a public improvement in the City or
Anaheim, to wit:
The redesigning, alteration, making additions to, and
construction and completion of a 12 KV Substation on
property owned by the City of Anaheim on the east side
of South Los Angeles Street, south of the Southern
Pacific Railroad right-of-way and approximately 320 feet
north of the center line of Ellsworth Avenue, in the
City of Anaheim, together with all appurtenant work, as
indicated on the plans, 1Vorl'.: Order No. 2513.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Director of
Public Utilities to prepare detailed ~, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications, and estimates of quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys ror the construction or said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS, said Director has prepared said detailed ~a9~,
plans, profiles, drawings and specirications ror the construction of
said public improvement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council rinds that the detailed ~
plans, proriles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements or the City of
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area ror the purposes
for which they are intended, and that they are adequate ror the con-
struction of said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Councilor the City
of Anaheim that the detailed ~ plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications ror said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said Director" _.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordanc.e with said detailed ...."'",
plans, prof'iles, drawings and specif'leatlons as prepared by
said D~rector.. __and hereby approved, and such addenda
or modif'ications thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing of' bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of' the City of'
Anaheim be, and she 1s hereby, authorized and directed to publish
a notice accordIng to law, lrJvl.t.ing sealed proposals f'or the f'ur-
nishing o.f all plant, labor, servlees, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transpoT.t:ation, including power, f'uel and
water, and performlng all work neeessary to construct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, In st.rict accordance with said
detailed aatl'@iltI, pl.ans, pI'ofl'Le<3, drawlngs and specif'ications as
prepared by said Jlirector__._.___, the public improvement here-
inabove mentioned and descI'ibed, and f'ixing the__ 31st day of'
July _ , 195_L, at t,he hour of' 2 ~oo o'clock p. M"
as the date and hour f'or the opening of said bids at the City
Council Chamber's in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that
said notice shall be publIshed twice, the first of' which publica-
tions shall be at least tAn (10) days prior to the date f'ixed f'or
the o~~I?ing ~f' bids, and. that said publications shall be at least
f'ive (5) days apart.
AND BE I'l' FURTHER RESOLVED that the successf'ul bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City
of' Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of
the City of' Anaheim f'or the eonstr'-lction, installation and comple-
tion of' said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said
Dire~_______, the notic8 Inviting sealed proposals, this
resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or Code Sections and
the laws of' the State of Galifo:r'n:l H? and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the time required by
