A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C<l>UNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AJlAHEIM ACCEPTING A SEALED PROFOSAL AND
AWARD ING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST RES PONS I.BLE
BIDDER FOR ALL ADVERTISING TO BE DONE .BY TIlE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, NECESSARY OR REQJIRED BY LAW
TO BE PUBLISHED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED
WITHIN SAID CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to
wit: The Anaheim Bulletin, on the 23rd and 30th days of June,
1958, a notice inviting sealed proposals for furnishing the
following legal advertising:
For all legal advertising to be done by the
City of Anaheim, required by law to be pub-
lished in a daily newspaper published within
the City, for the year commencing August 1,
1958 and ending July 31, 1959, in conformity
with the specificati@ns for such advertising,
which specifications are marked and designated
"Specifications for Printing and Advertising
of the City of Anaheim, Series of 1954,. on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim.
AND WHEREAS, said notice inviting sealed proposals for
said legal adVertising did provide that sealed proposals would
be received by the City of Anaheim at the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim up to the hour of 7:00 0'c1ock P.M.,
on the 8th day of JUly, 1958, for the furnishing of all legal
adVertising to be done by the City, required by law to be pub-
lished in a daily newspaper published within said City, for the
year commencing August 1, 1958 and ending July 31, 1959; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim did
receive the following sealed proposal prior to 7:00 0'c1ock P.M.
on the 8th day of July, 1958, in response to the notice afore-
said inviting sealed proposals, to wit:

$1.50 per column inch for
the first insertion
$1.10 per column inch for
each subsequent insertion
AND WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the sealed
proposal submitted by the Anaheim Bulletin, 232 South Lemon
Street, Anaheim, California, is the lowest responsible proposal
submitted for the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done
by the City, required by law to be published in a daily newspaper
in conformity with the specifications for said advertising Qn
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, as
specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals; and that the
person, firm or corporation submitting said proposal is a re-
sponsible person, firm or corporation, and that the proposal of

said above named bidder should be accepted and a contract awarded
to said bidder in accordance therewith.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the sealed proposal submitted by the
Anaheim BUlletin, 232 South Lemon Street, Anaheim, California,
for the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done by the
City, necessary or required by law to be published in a daily
newspaper published within the City of Anaheim, for the year
commencing August 1, 1958 and ending July 31, 1959, in conformity
with the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim and the notice inviting sealed proposals
be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract for
said legal advertising be, and the same is hereby, awarded to the
said above named bidder.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 8th day of July, 1958.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting, provided by law, of the City
Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 8th day of July,
1958, by the following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Borden, Fry, Schutte and
Coons.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
AND 1 FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said Resolution on the 8th day of
JUly, 1958.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, 1 have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the official seal of the City of Anaheim this 8th day of
