A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY RE~UIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVE-

DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity re~uire the con-
struction and completion of a public improvement in the City o~
Anaheim, to wit:
Excavation, construction and completion of a reinforced
concrete vault for Well No. 19, at the southeast corner
of Ball Road and Lewis Street, in the City of Anaheim,
together with all appurtenant work as indicated on the
plans and specifications, Work Order No. 1588.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instrueted George E. Holyoke,
City F.naineer to prepare detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and Bpeci~ications, and estimates of quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys for the construction o~ said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS. said Enaineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the construction of
said publiC impro"J'ement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said publiC improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the r.eeds and requirements of the City o~
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for the purposes
for which they are intended, and that they are adequate ~or the con-
struction of said publiC improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council o~ the City
of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications for said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said City En2ineer____.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, prof'iles. drawings and specifiGat1.ons as prepared by
sa1.d City !m&1~__and here'by appr'oved, and such addenda
or modi~icat10ns thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing o~ bids thereror.

in a good and workman11ke manner, In strict accordance with said
detailed designs. plans, profiles, drawings and speci~ications as

AND BE IT FUHTHEH HESOLVED that the successi'ul bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City
o~ Anaheim in the manner 8nd form apprmred by the City A ttorney o~
the City of' Anahe:Lm i'or the constr-Jction, Installation and comple-
tion of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with thB plans and speoifications prepared by said
