REBOLUTION NO. 4480
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINALLY ACCEPTING THE COMPLETION AND THE
FURNISHING OF ALL PLANT, LABOR, SERVICES, MA-
TERIALS AND EQ,UIPMENT AND ALL UTILITIES AND TRANf>.
PORTATION INCLUDING POWER, FUEL AND WATER, AND
PERFORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT AND
COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT, TO WIT:
CONSTRUCTION OF AN lS-INCH STEEL CYLINDER CONCRETE
WATER LINE IN LA PALMA AVENUE. FROM MAGNOLIA
AVENUE TO DALE AVENUE. WORK ORDER NO. 11),7.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim aid
oause to be published in a newspaper of general circulation,
printed, published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, to wit:
The Anaheim Bulletin, on the 1st and 8th days of November
19-27_, a notioe inviting sealed proposals for furnishing the
following:
All plant, labor, services, materials and equip..
ment, and all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water, and performing
all work necessary to construct and complete in
a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accord-
ance with the specifications, plans and drawings
therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk
or City Engineer of the City of Anaheim, the fol-
lowing public improvement, to wit: Oonstruction
of an IS-inch steel cylinder concrete water line
in La Palma Avenue, from Magnolia Avenue to Dale
Avenue, including trenching, construction of pipe,
including valves and fittings, flOOding and back-
fill, resurfacing, and appurtenant work, as indi-
cated on the plans, Work Order No. 1537,

in aooordance with the designs, plans, profiles and specifica-
t10ns prepared by George E. Holyoke. City Engineer
and the notice inviting sealed proposals, which said notioe Ipeci-
fied that sealed proposals as specified in said notioe would be
reoeived up until 2:00 o'olock P.M. of the 14th day of
November , 19-22-, and whioh said notice did state and
declare that, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 of the
Labor Code, the City Counoil of the City of Anaheim had asoertained
the prevailing rate of wages for eaoh type of labor needed to exe-
oute said oontraot and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage
Boale so ascertained; and
WHEREAS, on November 14 ,19-2L, at the hour of
2:00 o'olook P.M., the Oity Clerk and City Engineer of the

City of Anaheim did open said sealed proposals received up to that
time for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials
and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to con-
struct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict
accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings therefor
on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim,
the pUblio improvement hereinabove more partioularly desoribed and
set forth, in public, in the City Council Chamber in the City Hall,
Anaheim, California, and the City Engineer did tabulate the result
of said sealed proposals and did make a report to the Oity Oouncil
at its next adjourned regular meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Oity Council of the City of Anaheim did, at
its next ad 10urned regular meeting, held on the 19th day
of November . 19..:.21.. at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.K.,
consider the sealed proposals submitted for furnishing the materi-
als and performing the work hereinabove more particularly described
and set forth, and did thereupon find and determine that the sealed
proposal submitted by CAMCO CONSTRUCTION 00., INC., P. O. Box 2127,
Fullerton, California
tor the construotion~ installation and completion of said 16ft STEEL
CYLINDER CONCRETE WA:J.'ER LINE IN LA PALKA AVE., WORK ORDER NO. 1517 ,
hereinabove mentioned and desoribed, was the lowest responsible
proposal submitted therefor. and thereupon acoePted said bid and
did award a contract to said CAMCO OONSTRUCTION CO., INC.. P. O.
Box 2127, Fullerton, California
for furnishing all plant. labor. servioes, materials and equipment
and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and
water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete.
in a good and workmanlike manner. in strict accordance with the
specifications. plans, and drawings, the said public improvement as
speoified in said notice inviting sealed proposals. and did author-
ize the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim to execute
a contraot for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim with CAKOO
CONSTRUCTION CO.. INO.. P. O. Box 2127, Fill] p.T'tnn. CalifOrn~ .
which said contract was duly made and entered into on the 2nd
day of November . 19...51.-; and
WHEREAS, the said CAMCO CONSTRUCTION CO.. INC.
has furnished all
plant, labor, services. materials and equipment and all utilities
and transportation, and performed all work neoessary for the oon-
struction and completion. in a good and workmanlike manner, in
striot acoordanoe with the specifications, plans, drawings, of said
public improvement as speoified in the notice inviting sealed pro-
posals and in the detail, design, plans~ profiles, drawings and
speoifioations prepared by George E. ~lyoke, Oity En~ineer
. and the oontraot made and entered
into with it by the Oi ty of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the Oity En~ineer :bas dull
certified to the construction and completion of said public 1mprove-
ment hereinabove mentioned and described, in acoordanoe with the
plans and speoifications and the contraot documents duly made and
entered into with said OAMOO CONSTRUCTION 00.. INC.

WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that said contractor has
completed said public improvement hereinabove more partioularly de-
soribed in aooordanoe with the prOVisions of the oontract and the
oontraot documents, and that notice of oompletion should be filed
and payment of the balanoe due said oontractor authorized in aocord-
anoe with the oontraot doouments.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specificati,ons as prepared by
said C1ty Eng1neer and hereby approved, and such addenda
or modit'ications thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk ot' the City of
Anaheim be, and she is hereby~ authorized and directed to publish
a notice according to law" inviting sealed proposals for the fur-
nishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel and
water, and performing all work necessary to construct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said C1ty Eng1ne~~_____, the public improvement here-
inabove mentioned and desoribed, and fixing the 15th day of
May ,1.9S_L_" at 'the hour of 2 :00 o'clock p. M"
as the date and hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Counci 1 Chambers in the City Hall in t.he City of Anaheim, and that
said notiee shall be published twice, the first of which publica-
tions shall be at least tM) ('L0) days prior to the date fIxed for
the opening of bids. and that saId publications shall be at least
five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidderssi:all be required to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the manner ~md form approved by the City Attorney ot'
the City of Anaheim for the Gonstr-,.lGtion, installation and comple-
tion or said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and epeoification2 prepared by said
Q1ll~~~_____, the notice :!nvitlng sealed proposals, this
~nd all applicable City Ordinanoes or Code Sections and
the la-ws of the State of Can t'.:n'ni B. and shall be required to post
bonds and insuran06 in thEl amount.s and within the time required by
