A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AOKKOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF A PETI~ION FOR
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIK, DESIGNATIIG THE TERRITORY
AS THE NORTH EUCLID ANNEXATION NO.2

THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE
ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTIOE OF THE DAY, HOUR AND
PLACE WHERE AND WHEN AliI PERSON OWIIIIG REAL
PROPERTY WITHIH SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE
AKHEXED MAY APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND
SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE
AXHEXED TO THE CITY OF ANABEIK.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did on
the 22nd day of April , 19~, receive a written
petition asking that certain new territory described in said petition
be annexed to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, before the filing of said petition, the proposal
for the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City
of Anaheim was submitted to the Boundary Commission of the County of
Orange, State of California, and reported upon by said Boundary
Coaaission with respect to the definiteness and certainty of the
proposed boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City
of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California,
and is oontiguous to the City of Anaheim and is uninhabited territory,
and said petition oontained a desoription of said territory in words
and figures as hereinafter in this Resolution desoribed; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds from evidenoe and reports
reoeived that at the time of the filing and reoeipt of said petition,
it was and now is signed by owners of not less than one-fourth (i>
of the land in the territory by area and by assessed value in the
territory proposed to be annexed, aocording to the last preceding
equalized county assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidenoe and reports
reoeived and from said petition that at the time of the filing and
presentation of said petition that said new territory proposed to be
annexed to said City of Anaheim did not form a part of any municipal
corporation and that said territory was uninhabited and is oontiguous
to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidenoe and reports reoeived that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,
to wit:

NORTH EUCLID ANNEXATION NO.2
A parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, and
being the South 15 acres of the South 30 acres of the North 50 acres of the East
100 acres of the Southeast ~ of Section 5, and a portion of Section 4 of Township
4 South, Range 10 West, S. 8. 8. & M., more particularly described as follOWs;
Beginning at an angle point In the existing City limits line as established by
the Euclld-Romneya Annexation to the City of Anaheim, as passed by Ordinance No. 874,
on December 22, 1953, and filed with the Secretary of State on January 25, 1954, said
angle point being the Southwest corner of said Euclid-Romneya AnnexatIon located
In the easterly right of way line of Euclid Avenue; thence,
1. Northerly along said existing City limits line to the point of Intersection
with the Easterly prolongation of the North line of said South 15 acres; thence,
2. Westerly along said Easterly prolongation and North line to the East line
of that portion of land conveyed as Parcel 2, to the State of California by Deed
No. 36595, recorded Karch 13, 1956, and filed In Book 3434, Page 126 of Official
Records in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence,
3. Southerly along said East line to the point of Intersection with the ex-
Isting City limits line of the City of Anaheim as established by the North Euclid
Annexation to the City of Anaheim as passed by Ordinance No. 953 on December 28,
1954, and filed with the Secretary of State on January 31, 1955; thence,
4. Following said existing City limits IJne Easterly, Southerly and Easterly
to the point of beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that such proposed annexation be designated as
NORTH EUCLID ANNEXATION NO,. 2 and that
notice of such proposed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter
pro'V'1ded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a pUblic hearing shall be had
upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than sixty (60)
days after the passage of this Resolution. unless the owner or owners
of all of the territory to be annexed have petitioned for annexation
or filed their consents to such annexatlonD in writing. with the City
Council. in which event the hearing shall be set at any time after
compliance with Section 35311 of the Government Code.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does find
that the owner Or cwners of all of the territory proposed to be
annexed have ~ ' petitioned for annexation or filed their consents
to suoh annexation" 1n writing, with the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Jrd day of June
192L. at the hour of _ 1: 00 ~~ 0 I clock 1::)1.. at the City Council
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be. and the same is
hereby~ fixed as the day, hour and plaoe when and where the City
Council will hear protests made by any owner or owners of real
property witran the territory proposed to be annexed; and that at any
time before the hOUl" S€!t for hearlng objections, any owner of
property wi thin. Bald territory may file with the Oity Clerk a written
protest against the armexatlor1o Said protest shall be in writing
and shall state the name of the owner of the property affected and
the description and area of the property in general terms.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oity Clerk bep and she is
hereby 9 authorized and dlr~otBd to ,,;)ause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at :ieast twi(~e" but not oftener than onoe a week. in
a newspaper of general ciroulation, published in the City. to wit:
The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California, and also
in a newspaper of gener~. oirculation, Published outside of the Oity"
but 1n the County of Orange" in which 1s located the territory herein-
above proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheimp to wit:
the Placen~()ur1er<e~".~_~~~~"O~=_~~~ and that such publ1oation shall
be completed at least '~v~,nl:;y {20] daYB prior to the date of hearing
hereinabove specified.
AND BE IT F'URTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the Oity
of Anaheim be" and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause
writtennotlce of such proposed annexation to be mailed to eaoh
person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed 1s
assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll available 9 on
the date the proceedings were initiated. at the address shown on said
assessment roll cras known to said City Clerk. and to any person
who has filed his name and address and the designation of lands in
which he has any interest, either legal or equitable. with said
Clerk; and in the event tr~t land within the territory proposed to
be annexed to the City of Anaheim 1s owned by a County, the City
Olerk of the City of Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such
proposed annexation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such
County. The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty
(20) days before the first pUblic hearing on the proposed annexation.
