RESOLUTION NO. 4457
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED CONVEYING TO THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FOR AN
EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is
desirous of purchasing the hereinafter described real property for
public purposes, to wit: An easement for public utility purposes
; and
WHEREAS, the owner of said property has offered to
sell and convey the same to the City; and ---
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds
that it is for the benefit and best interest of the City of Anaheim
to accept said offer and purchase said real property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the offer of STATE STEEL INDUSTRIES. INC.. a
California cor~oration.
to sell to the City of Anaheim the following described real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of Cali-
fornia, to be used for ~ublic utilitv ~ur~oses ,
and more particularly described as follows:
An easement over, under and across that portion of a ten-foot
strip of land located in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, lying within that parcel of land
conveyed to State Steel Industries, Inc., by Deed No. 29892,
filed in Book 2500, Page 359, of Official Records, in the
office of the County Recorder of said Orange County, the
center line of said ten-foot strip being described as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the monumected
center line of Lewis Street with the sixty-foot right-of-way
of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company; thence Westerly
7.85 feet as measured at right angles from said center line
to the true point of beginning; thence S. 20. 47' 40" E.
193.18 feet; thence S. 250 08' 25" E. 170 feet; thence S.
340 12' 55" E. to the East line of that parcel of land con-
veyed by said Deed No. 29892.
This easement is granted for public utility purposes.

of Anaheim, and that the City of Anaheim accept a conveyance of said
property.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor or the City
or Anaheim be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to the owners or
said real property, out or General Funds or the City or Anaheim,
the sum or One Dollar ($1.00).
