A RESOLUTION of THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DENYING VARIANCE NO. 1025.

WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim
did receive a petition for zoning variance from S.& R CONSTRUCTION,
INC.. purchaser under contract. of certain real property
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
described as f0110wsg
That portion of Lot 16 of Anaheim Extension, in the County of Orange,
State of California, as shown on a map by William Hamel, and filed for
record in the Office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Vermont Street, 66 feet
wide as shown on a survey recorded in Book 18, Page 42, Records of
Survey, distant South 74034'15" West 501.43 feet from the intersection
of the center lines of Vermont Street and Placentia Avenue as shown on
said survey, and running thence South 74034'15" West along the center
line of said Vermont Street, 140.00 feet to the Southwesterly corner
of the land described in the deed to Joseph D. Huarte and wife, re-
corded March 16, 1955, in Book 2997, Page 473, Official Records, in
the Office of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence North
15027'10" West along the Westerly line of said land, 165.00 feet;
thence North 74034115" East 140.00 feet to a point in a line which
bears North 15027110" West from the point of beginning; thence South
15027110" East 165.00 feet to said point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission
hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
19 $8 , notices of which said publ ic hear ing were
quired by law and the provisions of Section 9200017
Municipal Code, and
WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission~ after due inspection,
investigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf. and after
due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
did adopt Resolution No. h4 Series 19 ~8-~q denvina Variance
No. 102~ ~ and
did hold a public

WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from the date of
the adoption of said resolution. a written appeal was filed with the
City Council of the City of Anaheim protesting the action of the City
Planning Commission denvina said variance, and said appeal was
set for public hearing on Octob~r III ' 19 ~8 , at 7~OO
o'clock P.Mo at the City Hall in the ity of Anaheim, and notice of
such public hearing was duly given as required by law and the provi-
sions of Section 9200017 of the Anaheim Municipal Code~ and
WHEREAS, after due investigation and studies made by itself
and in its behalf, and after due consideration of all the evidence and
reports offered at said hearing, the City Council does find and de-
termine tha t g

other property in the same vicinity and zone and denied
the subject propertyo
20 It appears that the subject property can be adequately
developed and used under the present zone.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Commission denying
Variance No. 1025 requesting permission to amend the rezoning restric-
~ tions to allow two-story buildings instead of one-story buildings, on
the property hereinabove described, be, and the same is hereby sustained,
and that Variance No. 1025 be, and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
