RESOLUTION NO. 4792
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT, TO WIT: THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE FIRST
ALLEY WEST OF EAST STREET. FiOM WATER ST~ET
TO SOUTH STREET. JOB NO. hJa.q:
AND APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the con-
struction and completion of a public improvement in the City of
Anaheim, to wit:
The Improvement of the first alley veat of East Street,
from Vater Street to Seuth Street, by the construction
of 4-inch plant-mix surfacing, including fine grade,
construction of standard alley intersection, and appurte-
nant work as indicated on the plans, Job No. 449.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed George E. HGllyeke.
CIty EagInear to prepare detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications, and estimates of quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys for the construction of said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS~ said Engineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the construotion of
said public improvement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of the City of
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area for the purposes
for which they are intended, and that they are adequate for the con-
struction of said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications for said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said City Engineer____.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said publlc improvement
shall be constructed in 9.ccordanc.e wIth said detailed designs,
plans, prof'iles. drawings and specif'icatlons as prepared by
said City Eaa ineer ____and hereby approved, and such addenda
or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing of' bids therefor.
BE rr FURTHER RESOLVED that; the City Clerk of' the City of'
Anaheim be, and she Is hereby, authorized and directed to publish
a notice according to law. lnvJ_ting 8ealed proposals for the f'ur-
nishing of aE. plant, laborp serYlces. materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power, f'uel and
water, and perform:.ng all work necessary to construct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with said
detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
prepared by said~_ Cit.){ Eagineu__, the public improvement here-
inabove mentioned &nd described, and fixing the 21r; day of

as the date and hour for the opening of saId bids at the City

AND BE IT FUHTHEH HESOLVED that the successi'ul bidder or
bidders shall be requ:Lred to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the manner I'md form approved by the Ci ty Attorney of
the 01 ty o.r AnaheIm for the ccnstr-Jction, installation and comple-
tion of said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and epsc1fication3 prepared by said
City EwUn.e.U__"..._,the n01:1ce inviting sealed proposals, this
resol~and a1.2 applic9ble Cl~y Ordinanoes or Code Sections and
the laws of the State of CalH'oT'rda? and shall be required to post
bonds and insurance in th8 amounts and within the time required by
law, as specifled in the Dot:'Lce .:.nvltlng sealed proposals, and in
a form approved by the City Attorney.
