A RESOLUTION OF THE C I1Y COur..rCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING AN EXTENSION AGREEMENT WITH
THE LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY,
AND ITS LESSEE, UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY,
FOR A 24-INCH STORM DRAIN AND STRUCTURE NORTH
OF NORTH STREET, AT RAILRo~rs MILE POST 19.5;
AND AUTHORIZING THE ~~YOR ~TI CITY CLERK TO
ENTER INTO SAID AGREEMENT FOR AND ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
vmEREAS, an agreement was heretofore made and
entered into by and between the City of Anaheim and the
Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, and its Lessee,
Union Pacific Railroad Company, on November 24, 1953,
cover ing the granting to t he City of Anaheim of a license
and permit to lay, construct, use, operate, maintain, re-
pair and renew a 24-inch concrete pipe line for the
purpose of conveying storm waters, and a 4' x 8' concrete
inlet structure, along the property and right-of-way of
said Railroad Company Just north of North Street, Anaheim,
California (Mile Post 19.5-Anaheim Branch), which agreement
expires November 23, 1958; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has requested an ex-
tension of the time of said agreement, upon the same terms
and conditions as set forth therein, which said Railroad
Company has indicated its willingness to grant and has sub-
mitted a form of extension rider or agre~ment to the City
of Anaheim to be executed by said Railroad Company and the
City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Extension Rider this day
submitted to the City Council, dated September 11, 1958, to
be made and entered into by and between the City of Anaheim
and the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, and its
Lessee, Union Pacific Railroad Company, extending the term
of that certain agreement dated November 24, 1953, covering
a license for a 24-inch storm drain and a 4' x 8' concrete
inlet structure, hereinabove referred to, to and including
November 23, 1963, upon the same terms and conditions as
set forth in said agreement and amendments and supplements,
if any, be and the same is hereby approved; and that the
Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Extension Rider for and on behalf
of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 23rd day of September, 1958.
