RESOLUTION NO. 4755
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUB-
LIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CON-
STRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PtrBLIC IMPROVE-
MENT, TO WIT: THE IMPROVEMENT OF HASTER STRF.F.T,
FROM ORANGEW'Yln AVENUE TO S IMM1NS AVENUE, JOB
NO. 2071
AND APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLANS, PROFILES,
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION THEREOF; AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF
SAID PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID
PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE
INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the con-
struction and completion or a public improvement in the City or
Anaheim, to wit:
The Improvement of Haster Street, from Orangewood Avenue
to Simmons Avenue, by excavation, construction of 4-inch
plant-mix surfacing, including paint binder, construction
of partial skin coat as indicated on the plans, construction
of cross-gutter and appurtenant work, as indicated on the
plans, Job No. 207.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council instructed George E. Holyoke,
Citv Enaineer to prepare detailed designs, plans, prorlles,
drawings and specirlcations, and estimates of quantities and costs
and make necessary surveys for the construction of said public im-
provement; and
WHEREAS, said Engineer has prepared said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for the construction or
said public improvement and has submitted the same to the City Coun-
cil; and
WHEREAS, the City Council rinds that the detailed designs,
plans, proriles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
ment above-mentioned are in accordance with good engineering practice
and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements or the City or
Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area ror the purposes
for which they are intended, and that they are adequate ror the con-
struction of said public improvement and should be approved.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Councilor the City
or Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, proriles, drawings and
speciricatioDs ror said public improvement hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted as
prepared by said City F~gineer ____.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance wIth said detailed designs,
plans. proriles, drawings and specirieations as prepared by
said City Engineer ~_and hereby approved. and such addenda
or modirications thereto as may be approved prior to the award-
ing of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City or
Anahelm be, and she Js hAl'eby, authorized and directed to publish
a noti.06 according to law, lrJv:!.ting "ealed proposals ror the fur-
nishing of all plant, labor, serv:'Lces, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transpoy.tat:ion~ Including power, ruel and
water, and perform1.ng all work neeessary to construct and complete

detailed designs~ plans, profil.ss. drawings and specifications as

inabove mentioned and described, and fixing the 2nd day or

said notice shall be published twice. the first of whlch publica-
tions shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date rixed ror
the opening or bids. and that said publications shall be at least
rive (5) days apart.
AND BE I'l' FURTHER RESOLVED that the successrul bidder or
bidder's sl:all be required to enter into a contract with the City
of Anaheim in the marmer -'md form appro,,'ed by the City Attorney or
the City or Anaheim for the ecmstr;lction, installation and comple-
tion o.f said public improvement hereinabove mentioned and described,
in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by said
